Okay, I can understand not wanting to use chemical products on your body (nail polish, face powders with talc, etc.). But why are you spraying chemicals on your mulch? Those chemicals get washed into the ground and into the ground water. Do we really need to poison our water so that our mulch looks better? Perhaps you need another kind of mulch. Many people use a rock type of mulch that doesn't deteriorate over time and doesn't require chemicals to look good.
Can’t believe I’m at the point in my life im actually impressed and excited to get myself a paint pen 🤣 such a great idea! I had no clue those existed!
Great tips! I bought the perfect size shelf for under my sink yesterday! I never have clutter on my counters but I have several bins with product under my sink and the shelf has helped tremendously maximize my space! Also I need that paint pen!
I bought a matte black papertowel holder that attaches underneath your cabinets so it's still accessible, but it's off the counter and looks nicer than the countertop holders.
The paint touch up container is a great idea. Never heard of it before. I’m now a seasoned citizen so my priorities have changed from functional and expensive to just functional and with kids living independently I love our small space now. Ten steps to the kitchen is a forever delight. And no high end maintenance for the most part like we had when we lived in a large home. But they had their usefulness, raising kids and being engaged in our community’s social life. Many of your suggestions and recommendations remain valuable for people younger than our age group. Me, anything tidy and clean, utilitarian and uncluttered, and best of all just aesthetically calm to the eye is high end at this point in my life. But thank you for all the effort you put in making this video. I
I love these tips! I have NEVER seen the magnetic garage handles... wow!I I use a marble lazy susan for my perfumes on my dresser and love that look instead of a tray. But love trays for everything else :)
I watch your videos every week. Love your style suggestions. I don't know how I missed this video for the house. I really like so many of these suggestions for the house. Except the paper towels. Too old to bend down to get a towel when I am cooking! LOL! Now if you are looking for "things" to tell us more about, I would love to know what those brands of sunglasses are. I am sure they aren't affordable for me, so that is your job - to find affordable sunglasses "for me" that would be close to the ones that you have. FYI: I had a perfume tray when I got married in the 70's. Turned out they are a pain to dust!
A clear counter would be great in the kitchen, but it’s impractical for me. I use too many things everyday to have to find cupboard space to stow them and then get them out every day. Paper towels, toaster, coffeemaker.
Better idea for the mulch tip is to use Rubberized Mulch instead of the wood.. Initial cost is more expensive..But it really is cost saving..Not having to replace every year or use the spray It does not fade and actually keeps the moisture in the plants longer..
Definitely going to try some of these! I’m hoping to move soon (just starting to figure out what I’m looking for). Would love to get my condo to selling conditions well in advance! Hopefully some of these tips will help me get the most money!
These are such great tips!! But how do you keep everything so clean and dust free?! Could you do a cleaning video? Like past videos where you have given tips for when you only have 5 minutes to 5 hours or whatever??
I appreciate that these are *practical* ideas. I’m like George from Seinfeld about the tight-tucked sheets on my bed but yes, it definitely looks way easier & better!!
I wonder if the mulch colorant is pet safe & safe for environment? I was always afraid of white sheets but after my hysterectomy I’m all about the white bedding. Great tip with the spatula TY! I had stroke & making bed is still the most difficult thing for me to do, I will share this tip in my stroke support group 👍 I too love trays & vessels of all kinds 💯
Two tips: I save my old Sonic toothbrush heads, mark them with a marker, then use them like this little grout cleaner thingey. I always wash my toothbrush handle afterwards, of course! And, the furniture touch ups are available at Dollar Tree. I messed up a wooden cabinet one time when I put tape on it. Eeek! Using layers of 2 colors of touch up pens, I completely recolored in the spot and no one can tell. I use them as Shea does, all over the house.
Those paint touch up pens are an awesome idea! I just had my house painted and those seem like a great way to keep some spare paint around without having to keep the entire can. Great video Shea!
Hey Shea, I love your enthusiasm. . .so upbeat! I agree with Alexis regarding your upload consistency. I am all about the wooden spoon idea - awesome! The decorative handles on the garage are fabulous. Thanks, Shea. I just ordered the Touch Up, Grout Cleaner, Sun Glass Stand and wooden spatula.👍🙂
First to comment! Hello Shea 👋. I have been following and watching you for years. I love your content. Keep creating amazing videos and being yourself. 🤩 ❤️
Thanks! This video is fun and i love the suggestions. Cannot wait to try the mulch colorant! Had no idea! Many people in our neighborhood use those magnets for the garage door and the kids in the neighborhood move them around. its quite funny! Happy weekend!
Please note that mulch colorants tend to leach chemicals into the soil harming the soil’s health for years, as well as killing earthworms and other critters and bacteria that the soil uses to provide for plants’ health.
You can really see how much effort you put in every single one of your videos ! You are the only youtuber I follow right now that uploads so regularly and really work on their videos
Great video, thanks. Lots of really great ideas. We have just moved into a new house which we are going to renovate and many of your ideas will come in handy. Thanks.
I see so many youtubers posting this type of videos : How to make your home look more expensive. Frankly, I don't get it!! How to make your home feel more cozy... sure, I get that. How to make your home more organized.... sure, I love that. But, how to make your home look more expensive?? I'm confused. Is it to flex on friends and family when they come over? Why would you do that? It's conceited and vain and you run the risk of getting hit up for money for 2nd cousin Bob's girlfriend's best friend's neighbor's "fascinating" new project! Is it so your home looks more break-in-worthy to the neighborhood hooligans looking through your window when no one is home? Your home is your sanctuary and should be filled with the things that bring you joy - price tag be dammed.
Dear Shea how are you feeling? I know you were feeling a little low in one of the videos that I saw so I hope that you're feeling better.b Thank you for the video. I have an apartment I don't have a home but I hope I can use some of these tips.
Anything over a 200 cotton count apparently feels no difference and you are just wasting cash. Read that in a British house interior magazine many years ago. Also perfumes are better stored in the box in a drawer. I know they don't look as pretty but they keep longer.
