The "megalodon" was a basking shark, and it washed up on Long Island, New York, not in Australia. The images are identical to those in the video, leaving no doubt. According to CNN, it was 26 ft 6 in (7.9 m) long, weighing 5,000 pounds (2268 kg). Being a suspiciously round number, I suspect the weight is a loose estimate. It was still alive (though dying) when it washed ashore. I get that it's supposed to be sensational, and that revealing the actual species would've ruined the fun, but is it too much to expect that they get the beach right?
I lived right above the Pacific Ocean for about 30 years and every morning early, I ran the length of my beach (between rocky outcrops) often with my dog. It was always interesting to see what had washed up during the night, sometimes sand-dollars, different shells, sometimes a dead animal like a jelly-fish or octopus. I was hoping for a bottle with a message in it or some such treasure! One morning, my whole beach was covered with a crispy/gooey mass of bluish-purple! I took my dog back home and returned to try to figure it out. I asked, locals called them "Wind-Sailors" and they were kind of like a jelly-fish with a thin wing-like crest on them. They were of course dead, and gone the next morning thanks to the next high tide. (I learned they were Velella).
I was 9 when I saw a giand dead see turtle on the beach in Italy. It was bigger then me and it was there for a looooong time. The next day we went there and a turtle was gone. (I'm 12 now)
"You can tell they're cannon balls because of the holes on the cannon balls" Wait... what? I still don't get why they had to blow them up. Aren't cannon balls just balls of metal? If they are, what threat can they pose?
Cannon balls are thick metal balls with a small amount of gunpowder in them, when they were shot the fuse lit the gunpowder that was in the cannon ball and it became SUPER hot, they then hit target and finally exploded
Viant tree? Its a typical Douglas Fir. Every beach in BC has tons of them at the high tide mark. Nothing unusual here. They end up on Hawaiian beaches all the time. It's called the Japanese current.
what gets me is telling me to subscribe before even watching the video. I don't subscribe if I hate the content.. I may not subscribe even if I do like it.
I freaked out when the civil war cannonballs were found, mainly considering I've visited Charleston before and live right above SC, mainly because NC & SC are never talked about
Unlikely, the "creature" shows no signs of slumping under what would be immense weight. While it would probably look like that in the water (if it was real), it should be deformed by gravity being out of the water and shouldn't be sitting upright so perfectly. I suspect the professor may have wanted to troll/unnerve students snooping in his/her desk.
I mean I have seen beautiful and sometimes strange looking life in tidal pools and large animals swimming freely off the shore. None of those things are unusual to me now but they were wonderous to a little boy. One time me and some other children were taking eels out of a very small stream in Weymouth Bay. In Bicester (In the Midlands) the skies were occupied by kestrels hovering and then diving for their prey. At Korf Castle I found an old boars tooth just off to the side of the trail and I held on to that tooth for a long time. Now I draw and I paint landscapes and many of these childhood experiences have shaped how I express myself now.
How effed up is it to relocate a cemetery but the family had to pay to move their tombstones??? How does that make sense? It doesn't to me. If someone wants to relocate a cemetery, they should incur all the costs, not the family! How horrible!
Mk muff : imagine having an endless snowball fight ...Me: at the country called Aberdeen .. then I had one snowball ** hello darkness smile friend.. theme song**
Everyone here i want to say that i think dinosaurs and many different animals still exast just hidden somewhere far into the ocean on an island and so many different huge ocean animals such as The Megalodon
Maybe or maybe convinced him that the museums that put it on display would pay him for it through opportunities and knowledge on shark exploration and possibly a scholarship and job opportunities to be a marine biologist when he’s old enough and possibly paid the parents too to help convince him to part with it.
Did I tell you about the huge wooden box that washed up on shore in Saudi Arabia ... The Ark Of The Covenant ? It sent out a beam of red light and burned the ships at sea . It then buried it self deep under the sand .
It's obviously fake. The backstory of finding the photo makes no sense since when a teacher confiscates a phone, you get it back at the end of the day. You wouldn't have to steal it back
I watched the whole thing from beginning to end waiting waiting for something really cool do I have washed up somewhere? Something of interest at least?
I watch many of the offerings from Factsopedia, however, there are some things that seem a bit childish to me: 1. The cartoon-like characters that appear with the number, (2) The rediculous showing of something that will bring you good luck always (stupid), and last but not least, the pronunciation of countries, cities, etc, around the world. They should look it up before each segment. It makes you feel that they know what they are talking about.
Miami Metro- I agree.. And I wish narrators wouldnt over influxiate their voice to sound like game show hosts or some kind of salesman. If the content is at least interesting with some kind of amazing or unique facts to it, all the fake sounding excitement isn't necessary. It seems like there is 2 different narrators for this channel, and I'm not sure if Im mistaken, but one of them sounds and speaks better than the other. The other guy is annoying to the point you almost want turn the volumne down as low as you can. I don't know why some narrators cant just speak like a normal person would.
number 15 burger king foot lettuce the last thing you'd want in your burger king burger, is someone else's foot fungus, but as it turns out, that might be what you get.
So the tombstones were moved anyway. They could've been placed over the graves of the ones supposedly re entered elsewhere. This leads me to believe the remains were never relocated. Old burials with wooden coffins do not usually contain any recognizable human remains except for metal coffin handled and hinges, buttons, sippers and jewelry. I've witnessed graves that were supposed to be relocated, demolished by excavators and bulldozers, so I know for a fact, this corruption happens.
#Oddtopic its most likely a scene from some old tv show/movie that the guy liked and he probably thought it would be interesting/fun to confuse people with a picture of that scene.
#OddTopic I think that thing might be a really big fish we haven't discovered that just got struck with a big spiky thing and died then got washed up on shore.
This is why I love the ocean, scientist today still have not explored all of the ocean but thats awesome because that means we still have more to explore, that means anything is possible,
