In this video I ran a quick scan using the VF Button. I am on the the Tecsun H-501x Short Wave Radio and using the MLA 30+ Loop Antenna which is located about 17 feet from ground level. I have. one at 17' and another at 20", both turned at 180 degrees from each other. They are located above the roof over the room in which I use the radios. Once again, this scan runs until it locates a possible station, then stops for ten seconds, and then continues the scan. at a stopping point, I can use the tuning wheel to hold the channel for more listening. This is an advantage if I want to stop to look up the frequency on an internet site. Even the stops that are just static may be actual stations if I check just a few seconds later. It all depends on the weather and the Sun Conditions. What a shame that most of the stations are in Spanish and others are devoted to religion. In the event of SHTF, I am assuming English Stations will pop up. Even if the internet goes down, I cam still depend on Short Wave Broadcasts.
