York is a beautiful, medieval city in North Yorkshire that makes for an excellent day trip or UK city break. In this video we will share with you 15 of the many things you can do in on your visit to York. I visited York on Saturday with a friend and it was brilliant! Your video gave me lots of ideas and helped me and my friend prepare our trip. I was in awe most of the time, as there was so much to see and in such a small area. It's a wonderful city with lovely people. I highly recommend a visit. Two or three days is enough to enjoy most of the sights, but it is possible to cram in lots in one day too. One can see lots of things for free so it doesn’t have to be an expensive trip. Parking was £16 as we stayed for more than 5 hours. Our (free) visit to the York Art Gallery was our highlight. Thank you for sharing your tour.

Absolutely! York is a beautiful city with a rich history and plenty of things to explore. From its charming medieval streets to its historic landmarks like York Minster, you'll have an amazing time wandering around. Don't forget to try some local delicacies and maybe even take a walk along the city walls for some fantastic views. You'll definitely have a memorable visit when you make it here someday! 😊🏰🍂

Ohhh wow how cool does York look!! I’m so gutted I didn’t get to go there!! I would defiantly be In That wizards shop!! So many yummy places that burger looked so good!! What a great place!! That’s church is stunning!! So many thing to do!! A fantastic video with in depth info!! :)

The wizard shop is Harry Potter and there's I think 3 or 4 of them on the Shambles! I guess there are so many of them because The Shambles was rumoured to be the inspiration for Diagon Ally (I can see why from looking at the street), but as far as I know it was just a rumour and isn't actually true! 😂

I would absolutely love to visit York!! I have always heard of the York Minster and I would for sure pay the admission to go inside of that beauty! I can't say I am shocked about the amount of bars and pubs but that is really impressive that you could go to a different one everyday for a year without visiting one twice 😮Awesome video you guys! It's definitely worth the admission into the Minster, and I realise I forgot to mention that once you pay for your ticket you can use it to re-enter as many times as you like for the next 12 months (which I appreciate is more useful for us who are relatively local!). Thanks for all the detail here. I especially loved the bit about the cat sculptures (cat lover). I think that'd be a great way to do a foot tour - not sure about anyone else but for me it'd stop me from getting TOO overwhelmed by all the history (I tend to get a bit bogged down in learning sometimes)

From a fellow cat lover in York, we now have our own cat cafe, too! The Cat's Whiskers does require paid booking and no children under 10 are allowed, but I have been there a few times and it's lovely! :)

Ohhhhh the food in the intro looked incredible :D York and Chester are quite similar I think. I love having a little walk on the walls. You have shown York in a lovely light. Will defo be taking a trip here ... When we can!

Yes, loads to do, we love York! Agree on York Minster. We visited York many times before actually going inside the minster properly (instead of just poking our heads in the door) and it was totally worth it 🙂

There is a lot of interesting things to do in York! Would love to see the City Walls, the Shambles, York Minster, York Castle Museum and York Museum Gardens in particular. But everything looked like it would be either fun or informative or delicious! We did not make it to York on our one previous trip to England. Maybe we will have to stop through once international travel is a thing again. Thanks for sharing so much about this medieval city with us!
