Well done. I am a Breguet owner, and looking to shortly obtain one of the most iconic Breguet timepieces...7137. I just love how the dial has existed in some form dating back when A.L Breguet created pocket watch no5 himself. I'd like to add one more little known fact for #17, if I may: Patek is widely credited with creating the first perpetual calendar wrist watch movement, but it was actually Breguet who created the first which was sold to Jean Dollfus. The watch created by Patek used a movement that was used in a ladies pendent.

I'm always fascinated by the brand, Breguet has marked some serious benchmarks in Horology. Even I personally used some mechanisms in my college project, which were totally inspired by the breguet watches. I respect Abraham L. Breguet and other watchmakers, bc I learned a lot bout some serious micro mechanics involved and even implemented them. I will own one soon...
I put on my Breguet Ref. 5907 to write this. LOVE it! Totally classical: the only concession to modernity is the subsidiary second hand. Totally functional: show me ANY watch that's more legible. And totally simple: its hand winding (with only a reserve indicator) makes it almost affordable.

You can buy a car on the loan which is what most of the car buyers doing nowadays/ But you can't buy a watch on loan, you have to pay right-out. Someone may can afford a Mercedes on a 5-year car loan, but can't afford a right-out purchase of a $20k watch.
Actually he was Prussian by birth due to being born in Neuchâtel which was at the time part of Prussia though today is now part of Switzerland, though his family was predominantly Swiss at the time from what I recall.
