NO😑...india has more than 150 major languages and 600 languages of small regional speakers having just population below 1 million!!!! Hindi speakers are making 40 to 50 percent of population but it is not national language.. there is 21 official languages including Gujarati,Marathi,Tamil,,malayalam,Telugu,sanskrit Bengali,assami,,bihari,kashmiri and so many....yes India is second most speaker of English but English is making 5 to 6 percent of the population or less than this..... so English was never been second language😊

From U.K. This country has a very mixed relationship with India. My father loved India and it’s people. He fought with them during WW11. Huge numbers of Indian soldiers fought for the allies through Burma and even Vietnam between 1945 and 1946 and actually won that first Vietnam war. Heros all. Following the war and independence many Indian people chose to come and live here in Britain. So popular were those first migrents, that companies employed them as door to door salesman, because everyone wanted to meet them. Sadly by the 1960s racism did raise its ugly head, but hopefully ex soldiers like my father gave some comfort. We left India with cricket, its legal system and railways etc. India gave us its food and brought its amazing culture to our grey boring land. Hopefully both nations can now move on and work as equal trading partners.
