As an lcelander l really enjoyed listening to you go through your list. Most of it was spot on and l was very pleased when you talked about our sensitive nature and how important it is to stay on the dedicated paths and roads. Everyone who wants to ride in lceland should watch this. Thanks 😊
You can do off road! There are always options on bikes! Lowering, slim seats, smaller bikes and try trials for balance skill to transfer. Give it a try! 👏🏼👏🏼
Sounds like a Montesa Cota 4ride, Beta Alp, or Sherco Long Ride would be ideal, they are extremely capable bikes, popular with long distance trials riders but great for all kinds of adventures.
New to riding in general, goals to try trials, enduro and hit the track this year (anything on a 2 wheeled moto please haha).. love following you on Instagram and now here too ✌🏻 This is on my bucket list because of you 👌🏻
Hi, congratulations on achieving "status" as RU-vid's CREATOR ON THE RISE, trending UK!!! That's what brought me today, and hopefully lots more viewers who stick around for you!xxx
Got a new sub in me! Thanks for mentioning the illegal offroad driving and riding. Too few social media influencers mention that in their videos and some even break it without a care for our pristine nature. Hope you enjoyed your stay here in Iceland and hope you come back for more exploring. Plenty of areas to explore such as the areas north of Vatnajökull and also the Westfjords.
thanks dude. I think being responsible and increasing awareness with the understanding of WHY you shouldn't even want to leave the track is so important. Big thanks for the thanks too, it's nice to hear. OMG I will be back. I'm thinking Wesfjords next time, I love Iceland!! love love love
Thanks for the tips! “Wow” is certainly the right word. Nature appears to be pristine in Iceland... would certainly enjoy riding there with The Locals. Ride safe.
yeah for sure. The camo is military issue waterproofs so I'd try an arm surplus store. Jacket is Adventure Spec - insanely hard wearing and waterproof. You might enjoy this kit video too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ic1UnEAxfQA.html
Happy New Year! The natural scenery in the video is so beautiful. When you cross a narrow waterway into a bike, It's the best scene ever. Seeing your great channel again, I'm glad. 🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍🤙👌
Thanks Vanesa for sharing your amazing adventure!! I have added this to my must ride destinations and will take your advice and will ride with the locals!!!
haha yes I did. There are actually MX boots that are waterproof now, Alpinestars do them. BUT there is a big problem...they stop water coming in from the foot but they don't stop water going over the top and filling them...like a river crossing. If you have unwaterproof socks the water will then drain out but in waterproof boots it stays in! haha so it's actually worse to have waterproof boots in really wet situations. Madness. I'm 100% a fan of the socks. Warm dry feet...soppy wet boots... but no problem haha
@@TheGirlOnABike awesome. Just read up on Alpinestars. Didn’t know they existed. And you’re correct, only waterproof up to the top. Awesome vids of Iceland. Definitely a bucket list for me.
Hi Vanessa thanks for your video. Sure is some open country. Not a tree in site. Didn’t know you had been in a accident before. You must still suffer abit from it. Hope you can keep the videos coming. There nice to watch when your in lock down have to say. Thanks again.
Thanks Enda, yeah the body keeps reminding me but I refuse to let it me an excuse to give up an active life. Thanks so much for watching, there are lot and lots of videos if you keep scrolling... but let's hope lock-down ends before you make it through them all hehe ...although I'd love for you to watch them all! I'll look forward to seeing your comments lovely
you can ride on any tracks, and there are a lot of tracks that go all over the volcanoes so the off-road riding is incredible, but you can’t go off piste such
Thank you. They're actually military issue so I would recommend trying an army surplus shop. They're unfortunately not quite strong enough for riding so I'm slowly shredding them but they keep me dry!

Joe Rohan did the carnivore diet for a month and said his pigment was coming back. I have vitiligo because of pernicious anemia and am on the carnivore diet. It helps my gut immensely. My vitiligo is almost unnoticeable now.
Thank you for thinking of me. I'm at one with my skin and don't feel the negative implications of a carnivore diet on the environment are worth the possible uncertain benefits to my cosmetic appearance. I'm happy with a varied, balanced and nutritious diet. Thanks for thinking of me though.
@@TheGirlOnABike Sorry. I come from a ranching family. We love the land and environment. Lots of fake news out there. Our wetlands, trees, and foliage do lots to make oxygen and clean the air. My dad was very particular about where we could ride our dirtbikes on our land to keep erosion down. I'd like to see us all plant more trees.
I was enjoying another episode and loving Iceland till the " eat pony " part came up. I am no Hindu vegetarian...but a pony !?? I guess I have to buy a sheep or lamb from local farmer ;-) I think the diet scares me more than the terrain. Kam Another awesome episode.
haha I can understand that. I feel the same in any other culture in the world, but given the harsh winters it does make sense there. I certainly will not be eating pony at home!
@@TheGirlOnABike LOL.. The Vikings just need to do clever marketing. The kind we do in USA....we just say everything exotic tastes " just like chicken." They should just keep their secrets and say...." doesn't that angus beef taste great after a beautiful day of riding." ;-) Thanks V. I am looking forward to some more of these travel / adventure places video. Excellent advice on hooking up with locals / guides. Kam
Yeah big fines too, I hear up to 10k! They're terrain is so sensitive so it does make sense. It's the only place I've ever been were it still looks like nature is in control. No rubbish everywhere and human destruction, something worth preserving like they are....even if it's less fun hehe [there are LOADS of legal trails so it's not really an issue when you know where]
As an Icelander i gotta say ive maybe once been offered horse meat and wasnt that enthusiastic about that! Would not call it a normal thing to eat in Iceland. Dried fish with butter? hell yeah. Fermented shark? hell yeah. Horse? nah think ill pass on that! Think the guides have been overselling that a bit:P
haha I love your reaction to the dried fish! My face was less excited but actually pleasantly surprised by the taste! Hehe. That's so strange to hear on the horse part. I've been twice and both times the horse was a big emphasise [this trip, and a golden circle trip which actually included horse riding]. Maybe it's one of those things like sausages and mash in england, we don't ALL love it haha [although I do lol]. Mega appreciate your time watching and commenting dude. Amazing country! I can't wait to come back
@@TheGirlOnABike Haha yeah think dried fish and fermented shark is an aquiered taste like so many fine things. Beer, Whisky and such:P Not much into adventure riding but love seeing others brave the gravel roads and especially fun seeing people in my old home country. Live in Norway now and was going to ride down to the UK for Sportster Sickness Rally( a gathering of Harley Davidson Sportster owners) but then the bloody virus hit... But hopefully this summer i can go and ill have to try sausages and mash then:p Keep on riding and happy new year(=
Women have no business doing this! I am sorry this is a dude ride for bonding! No sitting around the camp fire drinking some beer and talking shit with this chick around! Not politically correct but TRUE!
