These beginner's guide videos are making me remember my worst mistakes on my first account haha. Like when I used 2 legendary books on Athel, who I then later fed to Dark Athel just to max her out. 😂 It still hurts when I remember it. 😂
The only trap I fell into was not upgrading my starter to 6* asap which luckily didn't have any major ramifications in terms of wasted resources like books or feeding champs. Having played games for nearly 4 decades, I've learned to always look up guides before I start any new game as honestly, I don't have the time to figure things out for myself in a game where once you've done something it can't be undone, and being F2P, I don't want to make things any harder on myself than it has to be.
I wish I had done that early on with this game. A lot of the tips I've seen I already learned after my first month into the game. Admittedly, even with all of these types I'm still learning.
How do you really decide to upgrade your starter to 6* if you pull other good champions that could help your team?, I have a few good champions like artak, warmaiden, elhain, sanguinia, kunoichi and my starter was kael. I have Kael at 5*, warmaiden at 5*, but I can't possibly think of getting rid of my other 5* champions to make kael 6*
@stevenfernandes27 farm up levels of your 1 and 2 stars utilize them. It's a grind. Take a week just focusing on that. Helped me a lot to push other heros.
Great vid that will help a heap of players out. Wish I'd watched vids like this when I started, would've saved a lot of mistakes (leggo books on lower champs for example lol).
The irony of the disdain I see for raid and it's CCs is that while the game is CERTAINLY exploitative gacha... you don't need to DO any of that. I'm entirely FTP. 7 months in, and I really enjoy the challenge, as well as the routine (previous MMO player, so it helps to have structured leisure tasks, and it's nice not to have to organise a raid team) Whatever else is true, Plarium is kinda generous with its freebees. I have one decent shard pulled leggo, and I got her in the last void 2x (Venus) but I'm still progressing fine. Clearing doom tower, lvl 20+ dungeons, completing fragment events. Not a week goes by that I don't make SOME form of progress (and as an MMO player, that's GOOD. I could go months without "progressing my account" on WoW) And while the CCs ARE certainly memeable, and easy targets for mockery with the common enthusiasm and clickbait hyperbole... I've literally never known another game where CCs actively DISCOURAGE spending and try to keep their audience informed as to what is "good value" and how that term is only true within the context of gacha. Really wish more folks would give Raid, and it's community, a chance. You guys are good people, and under the weight of the cash generation mechanics, raid is a GOOD game.
pulling shards is a science on it's own. after playing Raid for a few years i'd never pull on 2x events since i need legendary champion more than i need epic champions. based on a previous video you made with ChoseN it seems to be way better for someone going for legendaries to pull on an extra legendary event rather than pulling shards on a 2x event. when going for epics 2x is the best way of course and in the beginning some epic might be more useful than legendary champions

Jizoh is the scarab... king ! He is NOT useless but I didn't book him ! I put him a destruction set and immortall with the right allies and now the scarab king is no more a problem..
First time commenting on your vid -- the gear explanation on this one in particular answered a lot of questions I had as a new F2P player trying to gear effectively with this silver blockade I seem to have. Figured the algorithm boost with a comment and like is worth on this vid!

Very interesting video - Do you think it’s a good idea for us beginners to match Artifact class with the class of our champion? So like: Since Kael is Rare, should we only add rare artifacts to his set up?
I remember when I was first starting out, I was using my Void Brews to level up non void champs. I thought they were brews you can use for any affinity, I wasn't paying attention to how much XP it was increasing by 😆🤣
I upgraded Jizoh early and, while I see there are better champs, I still haven't gotten a good AOE counterattacker to replace him. He's a vital part of my clan boss (for frozen banshee to work) and was a strong carry in early arena (still in my 3x3 team) because of his use with Ultimate Deathknight. Definitely been more use than the very loved Khatun - especially once I got Uko. Yaga never really lived up to my initial hopes though. But, it was clear he didn't have a great role in my stable - so I stopped spending on him at lvl 40. At least I didn't book Jizoh though. I did book Shaman. :P But needed a reviver early.
The first week I played they gave me a $15 rare ring amulet and banner offer for dark elves. I started with kael so I decided sure why not. I got an attack ring and amulet and a resist banner, I think four or five star. It changed my entire account. I don't know if it was a targeted offer to a new player or a random but I never regreted doing it. Even though the banner and amulet didn't have main stats I needed I couldn't farm anything better my first week any way. If you are new and don't mind wasting the money I feel like it was a good investment.
Hey Ash, great video for beginners. I watched it to see how many mistakes I made as a noob and saw plenty lol. However, You may want to make a small edit to your vid about the Great Hall. In it you say, go for acc first then def/hp and atk last. This is good advice but, if you remember back in your early days, there is a mission to upgrade the att bonus on all except the void affinity. So you may want to give the noobs a heads up and tell them to do the first level atk on each affinity, except void, first, then do the other things you mentioned to head them in the right mission direction. Great vid again and it made me smack my head a lot. Doh!
I generally go for a lifesteal set first on the starter. Yes you get a full set once you hit day 4, but you can already be in hard/brutal before that. I don't see how speedboots, energy-wise would be any good before brutal? Or is it just personal preference?
I will admit, I mostly spend my gems on Ancient shards. I can't afford to buy all these shard packs and I just have horrible RNG luck getting them from anywhere (Dungeons and CB and such). So I just save up till I get to the CvC and buy 2 of the 900 game of 11 ancients.
Great advice. All games are businesses, they have to generate profits. There are very few game developers who aren’t greedy on in game crappy deals. For a free to play player this is a great video Ash! You can still have fun in this game, without spending a single $. Coz you do get some really great heroes, in time…… as “ Daily log in rewards” day 30 High Katun ( great champion) Day 60 Yaga (sub optimal) Day 90 Dark Ethel ( not bad) Day 120 Dark Elhain (awesome even in end game dungeons, esp Ice golem) Day 150 Lordly Legionary ( sub optimal) Day 180 Scyl of the Drakes ( Awesome hero) And more heroes as you keep playing 😀
I just pulled my first Coldheart after 2 years of playing. She avoided my account like the plague. But now I wonder if she is an exception to the rule not to use epic toms on a rare champion? I just used all my rare books the other week, but I have epics so it´ll do it for her.

I came back 5 days ago after 1 year off, my account wasnt that high lvl anyway (ninja,kael fresh60 basicaly), but i'm smashing all your videos at the moment, + hell hades website you guys are awesome thanks ! masteries are kinda hard, even on Hell hades website for Vogoth for exemple it says go for this as PVE (offensive build), but i feel like pvp (tanky build) masteries are better on him even for pve
Hi guys- I'm Frank. I'm pretty new to the game- lots of fun. But, I just realized that our "logout" button is missing. Its not where videos show it used to be. Forums indicate that its not just me- but a lot of players are having this issue. Does anyone know how to logout now?
For the new Raiders,I would have to say keal is the most helpful champ early game,I started galek got lucky and pulled keal on day 36 keal is by far more helpful.just my 2 cents.
I dont know why but all the promo codes for new player isn't working on me. I was just new to the game but when i tried to enter the promo codes it always prompt "for new players only" it sucks, it sucks very much

Im like old player playing raid for 3-4 years now but last year i learn how to build champs with my clan lol but still if im older player like to see something of this content even if i know something but something i dont
I installed raid from an offer in a game to get cash but i ended up really enjoying it and im not sure of i should delete and install from a link that gives epic and go to my already existing account but then theres still some more cash from offer which is to open 2 sacred shards and i could do in the future
Was about to write the same! Awesome game underneath but on a dayly basis they make it worse and worse. Don't invest any time and money the long time playerbase does not stop only for the sunk cost effect / sunk time. Both are constantly drained down the toilet at Plarium!
That pretty much sounds like a lot of games. I have friends who played EverQuest and they said that game got to the point of players needing to pour tons of money in within the first year and they started playing when it was new.
Gem mine lvl 4 and energy cap increase for level 70~100. Come on plarium. This shit isn't even that big. But it's a massive community win. Also give yaga a poison sensitivity on his A2 aswell and bang, simple buff that really buffs him to usability.
I wish you could get potions or mystery shards as a tertiary reward after stage 16... I definitely wouldn't mind getting 1-2 brews every couple dungeons

Please please please stop advising the Gem mine early on. 100 days to get your investment back. Use those gems to buy masteries for your first 3-4 champions instead and progress your clan boss. The rewards will pay you back a lot faster from CB and general progress you are able to make early on. Extra tip: Join a clan that is defeating the clan boss that you are able to get the top chest from daily, ideally they can down the level above your current one as well so you have room to grow.

Haha, good editing man. Ya the game's UI is absolutely atrocious. I can't believe how much money they put in advertising when the game looks like this. I can't even find a clan not full of bots. There aren't even enough actives to accept me into a clan.
Kale is so broken, Athel needs a buff, Elhaine shouldn't even be a starter, she got eaten by a freaking dragon, Galek is a underwhelming as well. What is with your Harrier hate, you need to pair him with Hospitaler I believe, for him to shine.
Best tip for new player? Don't listen to ash or other paid off creators and invest in this money laundry game. It's straight up pay2win of the highest portions and you will rage. These guys are paid to hype this game up more then it is to suckered you in. Don't do it
