VERSA-LOK Cap units put the finishing touch on your VERSA-LOK retaining walls, columns and more. Available in two styles, (A and B), the cap units are 3-5/8" tall by 14" wide (at the face). Caps can be used with all types of designs using VERSA-LOK SRWs. For straight walls, use both caps alternately. Outside curves require A caps only while inside curves use B caps.

Do you recommend filter fabric membrane to be used with the drainage system for all retaining walls using the Versa-Lok?

Hello, For most typical installations, filter fabric is not needed but may be a component recommended in shoreline or ground water applications. You should consult a local engineer prior to the use of filter fabric. If your project’s native soil consists of fine soils, this type of soil can plug up filter fabric. If the wrong type of fabric is used, it may cause water loads on the wall and be a hindrance to an SRW system. Want to use your system for small (4') retaining wall but went to order from your Dallas distributor (manufacturer) and they said they don't produce/sell the A/B caps, just a straight block cap (which I don't see in your catalog).

Most of our licensed manufacturers make multiple retaining wall systems and have opted for a “universal cap” of their own dimensions rather than making/inventorying the proprietary caps for all of the systems they carry. Stan happens to work and live in a region where the licensed manufacturer produces all of VERSA-LOK’s items. Whatever cap your local manufacturer offers will work.
