I often catch myself doing the same thing. My brain tells my mouth to say ‘chat gpt’ but my mouth gets lazy and just says ‘chat gt’ like we’re going to a motorcycle race. 😊
I just found your channel and am loving it 😊 I lived in Africa in my 20s and traveled extensively after my time there, basically did what you two are doing, but about 30-40 years ago. I’m now approaching retirement and already have a few adventures planned…yikes have things changed! For my daughter’s 30th bday this May, I’m taking her back to some of my cherished places. Your videos have been a lifesaver! Thank you both so much, and enjoy the ride-I wish you safe and memorable travels 😊
MITCH: Do please MENTION when recommending APPS if they are only iPHONE only! I am a lowly ANDROID bunny and hate when I get excited about one you have suggested only to find out that it's not for me. Believe it or not, androids are still a thing! :) ♥
@@ProjectUntethered Thanks, Mitch! I appreciate your response! ♥LOUNGE BUDDY is exclusively iPhone. I always found that exclusion of Android in certain very useful apps to be, let's say, a bit "patrician" and elitist. Another one is the AIR TAGS! Oh well... proud to be poor, here!
Just wondering what would be the safer choice: leaving the most important items such as passport, money, id in a bag in the hotel room OR carry them with you in a money belt always? Do you have any other suggestions?
Stumbled onto this channel when prepping for an upcoming trip. This video is gold! I sat there with my phone and paused so I made sure to download the correct apps. I’ve been watching other videos for a couple days and have now subscribed to the channel. So much valuable information. Thanks you for doing the leg work and looking out for the rest of us.🥰
Brother your videos are absolute gold. Thorough and highly practical. You're clearly a pro, in a space dominated by amateurs. Travelers, I mean. I have extensive travel experience, but it's all 20 years old. Like, before the time of apps and email and gpt. Getting ready to take on the world again, and the tone of your videos are speaking my language entirely. To endure the path - and fully appreciate the journey - one needs proactive planning measures, information organization, efficiency of movements and methods, safety and security. So, what I'm saying is, thanks, and keep it up.
Thank you so much for the kind words - they mean a lot! I would love to experience what it was like to travel 20+ years ago. Where are you headed on your next adventures?
@@ProjectUntethered Potential video challenge for you. The Schengen 90/180 rule makes me need to bounce around a bit if I'm slow exploring for a long time. I'm trying to build a month-by-month spreadsheet of where to be for pleasant weather (and where to avoid for extreme weather) throughout SE Asia and Europe (mostly central and eastern). Europe seasonality seems just like the western USA, depending on latitude and altitude. But SE Asia I do NOT understand....
In other words building a template for regional options to remain comfortable no matter the month of year, rather than naively going from baking hot to monsoons to subzero. With a VPN tunnel of >4M/s on weekdays I can explore forever, and I'd bet I'm not the only person contemplating this.
Anyone else have issues with TripIt not recognizing the email's to automatically import the data? I will get quite a few support email's telling me that the data wasn't imported and they created an Unfiled trip.
Dude!! Where have I been? I do believe under a rock. Thank you for your info. It’s beyond helpful. About to travel the states but still… I appreciate the info
You are amazing and trip and travel savvy, so glad I found your you tube channel! My husband and I love it…we immediately subscribed….So much useful info!
If you know the basic amounts in increments of 10s, 100s...its a quick reference range without exact amounts and keeps things moving quickly. It's also important to be able to "haggle" prices; its an insult in some countries not to do so. Personally, items/services are so cheap in some countries that it's easy to just say "yes" at the first pricing.
just discovered your channel. You've created some really helpful videos. There are so many repetitive, banal channels on RU-vid that don't offer much to those travellers who've been around for a while. Yours certainly isn't one of them. It really stands out for its quality and professionalism. Kudos to you!
I use US mobile for my home plan but only have a cheap plan that allows me to receive bank codes abroad, I show how I use it here! :-) How to Receive Verification Codes Overseas (Like Bank SMS Texts) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sq3WlvFaP8M.html
So if you reference by email I've been using technology since the '80s and haven't done a deep dive on AI can definitely help you with chat GTP questions that you may have let me know Let's have a chat 🤭
I'm up to the Google translate part and Google has now made it even better which will give you real-time translation through speech and the phone will speak for you in the language and also list the text and they can speak to you in their language and you'll hear it and see it in English AI is pretty amazing
Why do you all think everyone that travels use the phone for internet I only use mine to call ocational texting and to take a picture or two every once in A while when on A plane I usually have the phone turned off.
Maybe get some image stabilization cause the frame shakes a lot and you do the rotation thing and it’s like watching VR. Also you tend to tilt your head to look up a lot. Content is good though 👍
I'd go as far as to say that your phone itself isn't even necessary, but it makes things easier (if that's what you want - which isn't necessarily always a good thing).
Maybe YOU should learn proper English. It is "you're" not "your". You also posted a crappy comment, as this guy is simply providing some information. Go and learn English properly, as you are clearly the one that is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
