@@mariec4126 it'S the same for me , i'm like 5 style but we don't have to belong in one of those aesthetic to be stylish. Have your own style is good too ( or a mix of some of them xD)
@@ivieloca3713 yeah sure! I just wanted to know what's mine so it would be easier to find clothes that I like online and so I could find inspiration on pinterest for example
I really like fairy/cottagecore, earthcore, and light/dark academia, and definitely art academia. Also, the witchcore draws me a lot. But in real life, I wear pajamas all day and basic clothes when I go out. So maybe an aesthetic of basic girl from 2015 it is. Skinny jeans, sweaters, leather jackets, boots and chokers. Yay...
I think I invented my own aesthetic: “international” or “globalcore” which takes inspiration from foreign cultures (for me mainly North Africa and the Middle East) and involves items acquired from adventures and cross-cultural friendships, mixing it with a business casual/academia look. It doesn’t culturally appropriate anything ideally, but is a personal style built up from ideas from many countries. Mine has a lot of ancient Arab inspiration in it, with Arabic calligraphy I made myself, a Turkish inspired rug, photos of Middle Eastern architecture, and the like. Comment if you have a style like this!
Imma just say all of mine when I find them *kawaii *vsco *spacecore *animecore *comfy/cozy *lolita (sweet) *fairycore *kidcore Honorable mentions (not my aesthetic but do have some elements for what I like) *Vaporwave *cottagecore *Indie kid *Modern Witchcore *craftcore *babygirl (I would have put this in the real list but then I saw the sensitive topic warning, I just think it’s cute and that’s why I like it)
Ngl I'm kinda confuse, what's the difference between goth, soft goth, grudge and e-boy/e-girl? I've been watching videos and they keeps mixing them up.
I'm a bit late, but I'll try to answer (not a pro in either of those, so don't mind if I make a few mistakes) At first "goth" and "grunge" were music genre, but now I think that one can call themselves goth without listening to the music (quite a debate on that though, but I'll not go further into it) and it now qualifies two clothing styles. Gothic style (I think that's what you should call it as "goths" are those who listen to the music, but "gothics" do not. At least I've heard some goths saying they prefered that.) is inspired by the victorian fashion (with lots of lace, flowy dresses, capes, fancy suits), it's often accompanied by heavy dark makeup (graphic eyeliner, black/burgundy lipsticks). Ofc there are some modern twists such as plateform boots, lots of jewelry (strong imagery with coffins, crosses, bats is common) and accessories (fishnets, belts, corsets, hats, veils, and more), piercings or coloured hair. And grunge is more centered on an idea that emerged around the 80's-90's mainly with Nirvana. The ideology of this movement was sort of going the opposite way from the rest of society, thus refusing (excessive) consumerism. It reflects through the clothing style with a lot of thrifted items (kinda vintage vibes, lots of oversize t-shirts and sweaters, old jeans, reusing clothes you have and repurposing them). The aesthetic is much more a "destroyed", mess, "diy-ed" and upcycle style. (However it seem pretty elaborate today.) Colour scheme is in the muted tones, more or less dark. Makeup is less extra, a bit messier. That's actually a big part of the aesthetic : it's the reasearch of imperfection, so if the outfit doesn't really matches or the makeup isn't neat, well that's not a problem. Kind of a "do with what you have" motto I would say. For "soft goth" i don't really know honnestly. Maybe it is a music genre too, or just a "softer" version of the clothing style ? For those who don't want to go as extreme as gothics, don't have the money, or cannot because of other reasons I assume. E-girl/boy is a style that emerged recently on internet if I'm not mistaken, I actually only have a vague knowledge of the aesthetic. It seems that the clothing is a bit more modern (pleaded skirts, layered t-shirts, stripes), with some slight emo/punk/goth (if it's that pls don't come at me) ispo, but much more colorful (with bright or neon color), and much more cuter makeup (with blush, tiny heart, etc), cuter aesthetic in general. There also are a lot of accessories (belts, chains, lots of earrings, fishnets, high knee socks). I think there is also a slight gaming side (with gaming accessories such as headsets), which brings in the neon aspect. However I think it's kinda hard to put one person into a single box, as a style is personnal and often different with a lot of peculiarities. So they may blend a bit in real life. And some elements are considered as generally alternative (piercings, coloured hair) and can be found in more than one style ! You can search up each style on Pinterest and see there are some differences as well as similarities, as all of those are considered "alternatives" and thus don't conform to most of usual clothing norms. I hope this response wasn't too long and boring to read, I just like fashion so I'm happy to explain some things I know. (And sorry if there is any mistake on spelling !)
I notice all of these are super similar and the same type of feel with little variation if i saw someone wearing vapor wave or glow wave its the same and i wouldnt tell same with art hoe /earthcore super simila r
i need help finding my aesthetic, so im going to list like my fav outfits and like hobbies and stuff so maybe someone can help me, i think its close to like a skater girl aesthetic but i dont really like skating . spaghetti straps, oversized zipper hoodies, baggy jeans, combat boots, black, grey, white, i love sunsets and staying out at night, i listen to like every genre of music, and i really love like the adrenaline rush of dangerous things like trespassing, graffiti, climbing buildings, etc etc, i dont really like social settings, mostly me and a small group or my boyfriend, etc etc, someone please diagnose me
I'm a Wiccan witch and the idea of witchcore makes me uncomfortable. It just seems like an excuse for people to pose as witches instead of actually learning about the craft and practicing it. My religion and craft are not for aesthetics
