Everything she said is true, but when it come to politeness one can always learn and adapt here so quickly, if you have a positive attitude. Very informative
I love the way you've kept it real! I get frustrated here in Kenya as I'm against all those things you've talked about.... I'm now seriously thinking of immigrating to Canada...
OMG you and I both! Kwanza those people who don't like waiting in line, those men who whistle at you ovyo ovyo and people who generally shout and speak loudly on phone in public! Golly, the list goes on!
Am Esther from Uganda African OH Lord mighty God connect me to Canada your the father of nations give me Canada am your sheep your my good shepherd Lord mighty lneed Canada
That was hilarious!!! I get on my husband about respecting time, my time, especially. I tell him time is money and money is time. I am American and he is from Nigeria. We are looking to immigrate to Canada, and I have been trying to get on him that he needs to be on time. I am always amazed that he while he has a time to start work, it appears to be more of a suggestion. And I about died about the making an appointment to visit someone, I can work remotely so I spend several months at a time with him in Nigeria and it seriously annoys me when people just show up to our house, or better yet, they call to tell me what time they are coming. I'm like, uh no, you need to ask if that is a good time for you to come, I might have a business meeting scheduled and heaven knows they do not know the meaning of using their "inside voices." And then they do not seem to know when to go home, they want to stay, watch television, then they expect to be fed. I am a working woman in the 21st century, I didn't invite you over so therefore there is no soup prepared and no I am not dropping everything to play hostess.
Oh dear...hope you moved successfully to Canada, because what you are experiencing now is the true African way of life. Best way to cope, just smile and do the best you can. With time, they will understand you.
@@marilynnwafula6091 no, not yet unfortunately. I doubt we will be going anytime soon. We just decided to stick with USA, and file for him to come here. In the meantime, I'm heading back to Niaja for about 6 months, so please pray for me, lol. Hopefully, I can continue to "pretend" to be a good Nigerian wife (my husband knows better) and not shock or disrespect anyone with my American ways 🙄
Thanks dear for your encouragement atlest now u hv made me feel like I am already in Canada hopefully one of this fine days I will be able to get there thank you so much for your time dear
Loise you are the best, people come to abroad they think they can bring their behaviours and at last they get into depression, because they can not access anything just because of her or she did
