What amazes me is that English is not even your native language. Still, you master it so well. I teach English and I sometimes find myself in the situation in which I have to check the way we say certain word, almost every day. The way you explain it is out of this world. Really good job!

English may not be his mother tongue, but there is something he doesn't fully explain, there is something fishy going on in his story. He wants to pretend that he learned English on his own, just by watching movies, videos or exploring online bibliography and other things. But the truth is that English is a language that cannot be learned natively without having been in the United States for quite some time. This is where I think he is lying; to me he was living or at least spending a lot of time in summer camps in the United States to be able to learn English in the way he speaks it.

Give it a try 😉: I'm very confortable to talk about this national genre in this nation and I'm not such a psycho to call a colonel with a sword to defend women in this country, anyway i'll puchase a steak and a dessert after the exam. This should correct how we pronouce and our pronunciation.

Hello Antonio, I am learning so much from you in few videos than I did from many years of "formal" English classes. You're helping me to understand how the right enunciation makes the difference between good and wrong way to speak English. Thanks again 💯

I am a native American English speaker, and even though I was born and raised in the deep South, I don't have a strong accent compared to most people "from around here". (Unless I'm working at my retail job... then I use my customer service voice 🤣.) Pronunciation among native English speakers is often appalling! I'm fascinated by your ability to pronounce words properly and without a hint of your native Italian, and especially your talent for teaching others in only a few seconds! If English were taught to American students the way you are helping non-native speakers, everyone would benefit! Excellent!

Hi Antonio! I'm a native English speaker from the US. Your video landed in my yt recommends, probably because I'm studying Korean. Your intonations are flawless and your explanations are awesome! As a native speaker I never anazlyed the intricacies of my own speech until I started studying Korean. I've never seen a video as on-point in breaking down pronunciation as yours. You're incredible!! One thing I did note at the start of the video though, is how you said "characteristics". I think I heared a slight emphasis on the second syllable A, which correctly belongs on the first part of the word. Phenomenal video!! Wishing you lots of continued success!!

Some tips or recomendación to learn Korean please ...
@molly8550
@molly8550 2 года назад
@@miriam1812 Hi Miriam! The foundations are the most important in my opinion. To learn the Korean alphabet I recommend the youtube channel "Learn Korean in Korean. Teacher Kim has wonderful, easy-to-understand, short videos. This is the first of them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zFcTtqrsflc.html Moving on, as a general resource, I've found "Talk to me in Korean (TTMIK)" to be one of the best out there. They have a youtube channel and a website with free content. I started with their "Essential Grammar" course which is available for free on their website. It includes the lessons, a pdf of the lesson, and a podcast to hear the author teach the lesson and pronounce all of the Korean words. ru-vid.com and talktomeinkorean.com/. When you hit the "sound change rules" rabbit hole, this video from "Go Billy" will serve you well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VbOWbrPoW00.html. And finally, most enjoyably, watch a lot of K-dramas!! They are lots of fun and will expose you the most to the language. You'd be surprised at how much information will sink into your brain just by watching and listening. The website "Viki" has a lot of free Korean television shows and movies with subtitles in different languages. I hope you enjoy. www.viki.com/ Good luck!!

Hi Antonio, I just found this video, and it blew my mind. You are an amazing teacher! My native language is Spanish, so it's hard for me to pronounce some words. Thank you for your help! I really appreciate it.

You are amazing Antonio. I speak more then 10 languages and found English language not so easy (lots of synonyms.) I subscribed to your channel. Thank you, I enjoy your videos and learning more. 🙏

I don't really use the word 'colonel' or come across while reading or watching anything. But I think I would mispronounce it if given a chance to speak using this word. Thank you for your lesson! (Other words are obvious to me when it comes to pronunciation 😉)

Hello:) Genre was a new word for me, I was just laughing when I tried to pronunce it:) My mistake was the sword. I think I should listen to the game of thrones audiobook in english to develop this word😁 I really like your videos, and glad to see your longer contents! I' m learning so much from you! Thank you!

Thanks Antonio!! I've really enjoyed the video and I think that this is extremely helpful for the learners, and non-native speakers like myself. I am a teacher of EFL and have struggled along the way with so many words..I'm sure there are a lot more that I mispronounce!!! As to the list here, luckily I am content with myself😃. While giving examples of "crazy" spelling/pronunciation of some English words to my students, I have often mentioned Worcestershire!!! With, or without the sauce..😉😅 All the best from Turkey🍀🌍☮

I’m struggling to find the video that I commented on earlier, so I’m just going to post a follow up here. I have been thinking about how you pointed out two different pronunciations of the word the. I had thought that I always said it the same way, and that most Americans did, but now I am realizing that you’re right! I do sometimes pronounce the word differently before a word starting with a vowel especially before an a. If it were not my native language, I never could learn English. You’re a wonderful teacher.

Ab-so-lute-ly spot on!! Will definitely share and show this video when a "conflict" arises!! 😂 So many people don't recognize how difficult English truly is! To complicate matters, there are differences between the Canadian vs the American prounciation of some words: advertisement and lieutenant come immediately to mind! Regardless of the "acceptance" of both, it is a pet peeve of mine and have caused some heated discussions, when I won't back down!!😂

As a western Canadian speaker I do say comfortable correctly but I always use the four-syllable version. Even stranger I tried to pronounce it the way you are pronouncing it with three syllables and I literally cannot do it lol

I have been studying English for the last 20 years, and of course, I can speak English. If I went to an English-speaking country, I wouldn't have any problems. However, after watching this video, I realized that I mispronounce some words badly. That's why I say I am still a student because I feel like I haven't finished learning English yet, I will be an eternal student

1:15 from what I know, it should be pronounced chacteRIStics, instead of the emphasis on chaRACteristics. I hear that being pronounced like that a lot, so I'm not sure whether it's correct or wrong. Great video!
