Maybe they didn't realize they hit her, I hope they come forward once they realize they were in the area at the time of the accident.

@@ASDasdSDsadASD-nc7lf Because when they see the news they'll figure out that they they were there that day and around the time of the accident. If they're a conscientious and responsible individual they'll come forward. Also, it's possible the boat may show some damage from the collision.

Maybe somebody made the whole thing up so that they didn't have to tell police how they were driving reckless and maybe too close to the rocks? Boating is super dangerous when you've had a bit much to drink.

@@joshuaedwards3322 Are you saying family or friends of the victim may have made up how she got hurt and died? If so the medical examiner should be able to tell whether her injuries were caused by rocks or being run over by a boat.

95% of the boats in South Florida fit that description. Also the only reason this story is getting attention because the girl is the granddaughter of an ambassador here in South Florida. May this girl rest in peace. It is unfortunate.

Condolences to the family. In 2007, while out in my sea kayak, I was run over by a 12 year old girl on a Jet Ski. I was fortunate that she ran over the back of my kayak while I was broad side. Otherwise, I would not be here. She did not stop. A guy in a fishing boat followed her and reported her. Since she was a minor, her parents were fined $600.00. After that, I never went kayaking again.

Not necessarily, ive been boating 30 plus yrs & majority of people who own boats are idiots & have no business owning one, just look at utube vids..they were prolly drunk & that type boat w/ 2-4 outboards would sit nose high in the front & they possibly never seen her or may have thought they hit a long, debris, etc. If they did leave her knowingly, I hope they throw they under the jail..
