I hope she wins as she really loves doing it. I remember watching the Summer Olympics for the first time in 1960 and I became a fan for many years til the Olympics in Atlanta in the Summer of 1996. I then lost interest after that they had the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 1984 and they will be here again in 2028. Hope I make it to then because I will be almost 82, UGH Old age sucks.

John Cardiel, probably the most respected professional skateboarder of all time, quit professionally snowboarding because he was surrounded by a bunch of yuppie rich kids on the slopes that could afford to go to the mountains every weekend. Seems like that’s what skateboarding has become with all these rich kids with private skateparks to train at looking to get famous at the olympics. Skateboarding lost its soul.

Good for her! I hope she does well in the Olympics. I never could balance on a skate-board + I live in Illinois which is mostly flat land and doesn't have much hills. So that's mostly why I never got into it. I use to enjoy playing the Tony Hawk playstation game though.

Skateboarding has possibly the biggest disparity between men and women for any sport I've ever seen. Was quite fascinating at the previous Olympic games, especially as the women demanded to be scored on the same scale as the men. The winning female entrant for street skating won with a score of 15.26... out of a possible 40.
