i was thinking about that ever since i played gta 4 same in gta 5... such a little detail would make gta more realistic and going trough the apartment with shoes is criminal too
I was 14 when I played this and thought it probably was how rough bikers slept with heavy metal music blasting in the background. Now I'm an adult and know how bikers really sleep: shitfaced.
I saw this with 12 and I was almost on point "tough guys don't sleep well". Mainly because I always had insomnia and probably wanted to praise it XD Now I know it's more like "mentally unstable people don't sleep well" and I'm trying to fight insomnia like a real tough guy... Which is funny because I should be sleeping by now.
Yeah, if you have never sleept with yout clothes on, because you have to rush at 5am /6am to work... You have never lived in NYC, Massachusetts, Minesotta and other cold states... Literally You don't wanna go out of bed, so the easiest is to sleep with you jeans/pants on... Maybe only change the shirt if necesarry
Johnny messed up his back in a wreck before we play as him, so maybe he can't comfortably lie down. He also runs with a sort of awkward half limp due to his injury.
I don't personally recall that, but that was my first thought. The way he walks, always riding a hardtail chopper : dude has serious back issues! Hahaha
*GTA IV Johnny staying up all night trying to understand why Rockstar turned him into a pathetic weak loser, brought him back together with a woman he already left 5 years ago, and basically did his character dirty in GTA V without any good explanation so people can look at some crazy old man with anger issues and think he's badass while those people mock him for literally being brain dead after being stepped on to death, and for being a weak meth addict even though that's not his true character*
GTA V IS A TRASH GAME, i dont even count it as being part of the original gta universe, theres no way the original teams for gta4 would character build for that long only to kill him off like that, the original creators started getting fired and even quit before gtav even published and after as well, gtav is proof that gtaiv was actually a farewell to the community, theres even a wall next to the police station in gta 4 with all of the 3d universe characters and graffiti on the walls saying RIP to the main characters, if only we knew what they were trying to tell us at the time.
Im glad i played GTA 4 and the dlcs before GTA 5 kids today will never understand how badass Johnny was in his prime and why it doesn’t make sense what happned to him in GTA5.
If you really go back and look through Johnny's story in gta4 he really isn't a good person at all, usually there is a redeamning factor to the protagonist but I replayed lost and damned amd realized most of the bad shit that happens is really his fault.

His death was perfectly indicative of his character since he died at the hands of a psycho who he idiotically decided to associate with, while introducing Trevor's infinitely more interesting character. I loved how they did Johnny's death personally
Its called depression/insomnia, Niko and Luis at least have a family member/members living in Liberty City, Johnny doesn't really have anyone except his brother in the military that he emails, that or having to deal with Billy/Brian and being president/vice president of an MC would make anyone lose sleep lol
@@brunovsky_ you can sleep in houses, or setup a camp. although John has some sort of sleeping problem so he doesn't lie down, he just sits down and channels in his emotions or somethn lol.
@@jazz96765 Only better in mechanics, not in game features I mean in GTA V , You can get a haircut, do random events, buy cars, have tattoos, etc but cant do anything with your money in GTA IV Which is quite sad🙄

I couldn't believe how nonchalantly they killed him off in V. And while he was professing his love for a woman that he had clearly written off in 4. It felt corny to me, like Rockstar didn't put much thought into it.
Should've been the Angels of Death as the enemy faction. As hard to wipe out as The Lost have been across V and Online, that makes the least sense because AOD are worldwide and The Lost were minimal. I don't consider it bad writing that a man at his lowest would betray his values, though. But that's just me.
@@JesseVenturaHat They at least needed to work on it longer, some aspects of it feel unfinished. But their competition with Saints Row was evident. A lot of the most iconic, action-packed missions in GTA V mirror Saints Row missions.
I looked it up and this position is often used by nightwatch positions and jobs so that if a trespasser comes and the nightwatcher is asleep, theyll wake up already in a defensive position. Going by Johnny's lifestyle, he sleeps like this in case anyone tries to bust in his home and harm him. He'll already be up and can immediately grab a weapon or stand to fight
I just figured it was him just going into standby mode considering the drugs and situation. I wouldn't see Johnny getting sleep at all between say a speed and paranoia. Realistically the saving spot animation was most likely rushed and maybe they just used an existing animation that was different due to it breaking or something. idk.
I always figured it was like how my friends dad sleeps in an armchair most nights because he comes in exhausted from work and falls asleep before he makes it to bed.
Johnny's just waiting for the camera to turn off before undressing and sleeping like a normal person. And then gets dressed before it turns back on. Those other guys are the weird ones, sleeping in their clothes with shoes still on.
Funny you should say he's fighting demons. One of them was unfortunately named Trevor. If only Trevor encountered another Johnny by the name of Gat, who also fought demons, things would go much differently.

Saints Row and GTA actually need each other, so I felt it was relevant to say, as well as dog on Trevor. Trevor was nothing more than a response to players acting psychotic regardless of the protagonists' morality, and I admit I've done that, but I don't want any more protagonists like Trevor. Anyway, I love the screen name too! 💜🩷💚🩵
I don't know about you but in my opinion johnny had the best sleeping position among the three, you can tell that he had a good sleep by the looks of his eyes lol.
you'd think Johnny would sit down like that on the bed to have some quick thoughts in his head, throughout the night shuffle around and eventually lay down like a normal human. But to wake up in the same position like that is outlandish ☠😭
Wouldn't surprise me if Johnny had insomnia his main crew were all on drugs, I'm guessing he was on stuff even in his prime and it just got worse in GTA 5...
Maybe he just doesn't want to lie down because he doesn't want to be in a vulnerable position and he wants to be able to engage the perpetrators immediately in case they break in.
