Nice helpful review, thanks. One thing, when you were discussing the new station modifications feature it would have been nice to have seen this in the video - it'd have made more sense to the viewer?
I understand that players go by the price but that shouldn't be the first thing to bring up in a review. If a game is crap but costs 2$ you will give it a good review ? You see my point ? If you really need to go that way then name it "Is it worth the price". We don't need to be told to use YT to find other videos. You did say 70h in game right ? But your title states 150h. Get straight to the point to save people time, your viewers will appreciate that. A review should be around 10min. Let me know if you want more criticism :)
All criticism is most welcome! This is the first one i did, and i want to make reviews as good as they can be! i do believe i said 170h ingame (that was at least what i ment to say) Shorter is noted, i absolutely agree! I think i got the your point regarding price. (less of a "ramble" about why i find the price agreeable?) Cheers for the feedback Feflechi! Ill do my best to incorporate this in the future! :)
they did not eliminate the auto replace feature, you need to go to vehicle manager, select the line and press the replace button. It will give you a menu of the vehicles
What im talking about is the "replace vehicles on this Line when they reach: 50%, 75%, 100%, 125% or 150% of their lifespan" feature. (So you dont have to go in to each and every mine all the time replaceing vehicles:)
That was some mighty kind words! Thank you!😁 It should be said that they have fixed a few of the "quality of life" drawbacks i had with tpf2. i.e. great a line for The veihicle management screen. I also found that the mod "Senseless Industries" adds a ton of gameplay!😁 just started a series on it here if your interested:) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mf2p3TVo2ig.html
Very good review I agree with you about the delivery of stuff to cities, I find the new system detracts from my enjoyment of the game. I don't want the added complicity
Cheers Gemmel! Im not even sure i would say that this adds complexity. Hopefully some modders out there agree, or some the dev's them self make a "setting" available for changing it up.
Thanks for you deep review. After seeing your review I decided that I stay with TF1 for now. I've taken only one PRO from your review - graphics. Thanks. We'll see in the future after couple of patches if they change some gameplay mechanics.
Great job. This game looks beautiful. I have Transport Fever 1 and it is my favorite game. I am looking forward to playing this one too. I do have to strongly agree with something you said . . . THEY SHOULD NEVER HAVE ELIMINATED THE AUTO REPLACE FUNCTION! What were they thinking? When you have hundreds of different vehicles running around it's going to be really annoying to keep them up to date. I am also not so sure about the limited product needs of the cities. Also seems a bit shortsighted. A couple of questions: 1 - If you pause the clock do vehicles still age? I assume they will and again the auto-replace would be very helpful since I can see myself playing at least one game stuck in time (e. g., the great American steam era) and it would be very good if they kept refreshing themselves. 2 - Do you know it the mods for TF1 will work on TF2?.
Question first: 1. When you pause time vehicles still age, from a tycoon fan perspektiv (mine) this is preferable, but with no auto replace - it's a neutral at best! 2. I dont know what work goes into updating mods but i checked the workshop some 20 hours ago, and i would Guess it already holds 100+ mods of variouse type!😁 Thank you so much for your feedback BostonGuy! And for the brilliant questions!😁😁
Great review. Honestly, my biggest complaint with the game is the inflated cost of trains and train cars compared to their real life counterparts and the weirdly cheap buildings. This was a problem with the first game, too. Prices for stations, trains, etc seem to be arbitrarily set.
There is a few things... I have a 9 year old computer and it runs just fine. Yes I have to crank down the settings .. but I run 2.5k Vehicle management. A lot of stuff can be done really easy.... if you know where to do it. Yea.. there is no auto replacement. But there is the increased maintanance that do pretty much h the same. If you don't like the new gods system... simply make cities with districts. Then you can have all 8.
Great review thanks for this and I have to agree on some point though only as an observer on other YT videos like yours, Col Failure etc. I'll be getting stuck into the game after work. But from my observations I think emissions have been poorly executed in this game and they feel they've been added in to add a new feature nothing else really. Why not be able to have noise and pollution differences instead of combined so you can see if its the horse farts in 1850 causing emissions or the noise the fumes in 1900 from the early trucks for example? Also implement the emissions world wide in game not just your vehicles. Industry and factories in the game don not produce emissions and I feel this is something they have dropped the ball on. I'm not a fan of the terrain reverting back to how it was if you delete a road or track, so now you have to pay twice for any ground works, where as in TF1 if you make a indent from a track going downhill and then you removed it the indent would still be there. Missing quite a few vehicles as you mentioned so I guess mods it is sadly. Not a fan of the replace function in this version either. In TF1 any upgrades you made didn't happen until the vehicle reached its next destination no its magic wand time ta da instantly upgraded. Anyway that enough from me ha ha, great review and keep the great content coming!
Yea loans work a bit strange, more like bonds work irl. I think thevreason for not sending vihecles ( esp trains) depots to be sold js that it tended to create to much msnual chaos, se colonells series when he (for some reason or the other) had to sell lots of trains
I can buy the game with 30 Euros because i own the first game......i watched your videos and saw that except the asian ones they didnt added that much...and because of that replace button im strongly thinking not to buy it.I was so hyped about this...but the replace button made things easier. Is stupid.Thank you for the video sir !
the replace button is there he just doesnt know how to do it, look up any other youtuber covering the game youll see them easilly replacing all their vehicles whenever they want
I think there has been a misunderstanding - you can replace vehicles - BUT the AUTO replace is missing - or is there such a feature too? Cause i haven't seen anyone else finding it either😅
Dont know if this is the right place to moan but really....does the game HAVE to be so bloody complicated? Getting the newly bought train to leave the depot and start working should be a button that says "GO".....nothing more, nothing less. What's wrong with the famous "right click delete" method? Or return to previous setup? They are driving me nuts. I have 100's of games and play for relaxation not to add to the days stress for Pete's sake.
I see your point, it was ment as a "Never played a tycoon game before and uncurtain if it's your jam? OpenTTD is free, you can test with that"😅 TPF is a whole different league!
Sounds like developers want players to spend more time with game by doing stupid ui and button things like pressing 200x loan. So bad. Ans what 10mins loading time, do u have SSD or hdd. It can change that loading time.
Your processor is shit. That processor would be no better than OK for 2013 or 2014. No kidding you have long load times. And while we're at it, your graphics card is pretty garbo too. You have no business complaing how a game runs poorly on a rig like that.
The specs i had at the time were not amazing, i currently have a i7 10th gen and rtx3070 and still spend far to long loading. That is my opinion, you are of course more then welcome to disagree🙃 Fyi The i5 6th gen released in 2015 i believe, so it would be pretty flippin awesome in 2013 and 2014😎
