You think 60 is a lot? Look up the dragsters that use diesels. 150+ lbs of boost. But yes 60 lbs is a lot for any gas motor. Schieds cummins dragster ran a 6.31 at 226mph using 140lbs of boost making 2500hp. Completely different class obviously though.

Percentage wise that's the same difference between a 5.2 and a 4.4 sec 0-60, which is a lot. When your times are that low, every little bit is a huge increase, same with quarter mile times.

Yeah but thats not really impressive. a Bugatti is a piece of art. It’s a fully loaded car, and the weight of the engine alone is probably more than these civics entire body. (Sarcasm) .. but anyway, these civics are fully gutted out, not street legal ( I assume), they’re basically the same as funny cars. So comparing a dedicated drag car that does 1.1 to a heavy boat that does 2.3 really puts into perspective how crazy powerful the bugatti is

Gravity is 1G, if the acceleration is constant from 0-60 then that is about 2.7G, or around the same G-force that astronauts feel when launching in the Space Shuttle.

Speed factory has been running the outlaw hatch for 10 years. Bigger turbo AWD cars have been around couple years now. It takes time to R&D parts that can handle this power. You will see a bunch of them going low 7s this year maybe 1 or 2 cars pushing for a 6 at WCF

there are now plenty of k series in the 7s, this is because b series has been out way longer, but now k series has a lot more aftermarket support, they both can handle 1500-1600hp now but anything furthur needs a billet block, also k series & b series dont have the same weight restrictions but now k series run the all motor class
