mo farah's best potential was in the 1500m. he never came close to the WR in any event from 3000m up to the marathon. he did play it smart, however. the 1500m was too stiff in a time with guys like kiprop and silas kiplagat. the 5000/10000 had lost their king due to injuries so it absolutely makes sense why a 1500m runner like mo farah would thrive in tactical 5000/10000 races.
Mo Farah looks incredible. He could break worlds records with the correct training. He runs so comfortably, coasting. He moved to marathon a year early. He could should have spent 2013 winter training aiming for world records in 5000, 10,000 and maybe even the 1500. HE RAN THIS 1500M RACE TRAINING FOR THE MARATHON.
Mo Farah is a good runner there is basically no chance Mo Farah ever breaks the 5,000m or 10,000m WR. Look at his "fast" 3,000m this year. He was grimacing, had no kick left and finished with a 7:32...far from any WR there. And the longer the distance, the further away he is from any records. His best distance time wise is probably the 1500m
Son Gohan Mo Farah is no record breaker my friend! He’s always lost races against the great ones like Bekele, Kipchoge. His PB times are nowhere near World record times, and it doesn’t take one year of training toward the end of your track career to break records hence, him moving up to the half and marathon!
Farah is a smart runnner with good versatility and finsihing speed. But to say he can beat the WR's is an insult to the all time greats like Gaile, Bekele, Kipchohe and many more who are far ahead timewise
Your valid argument is "you read tabloids"?! Hahahaha... Actually I don't read tabloids - in fact quite the opposite. I don't simply believe everything in front of my eyes as (apparently) ignorant twits you do.
What an entertaining race thay was with our golden boy kiprop running faster than a leopard,,I think of all the other Athletes in the World,,kiprop always run in a very quiet cool style,,marching on like a military soldier head held high up
But moving to the marathon at a young age, (young in marathon terms is about 30 coming from the track) he could break the marathon record. He trains religiously so he can do it.
Stephen Hughes I know this comment is old but you’re an idiot. You do realize that Kiprop got tested POSITIVE for taking EPO’s right? That’s a drug that enhances red blood cell production which is aka Cheating. So actually Mo Farah is the better athlete and Mo is a clean athlete too. Not to mention that he was only a second behind him and Farah doesn’t even dope but Kiprop does.
