2nd Top Speed Test posted showing the increase in performance with the 171cc from the 150cc engine. Sorry about the glare on the phone! Song: Renegade_Jubilee
Thank you so much. Whoa, Buddy 170i, nice bike. You are going much faster than 45mph. Throw some GPS on her, be careful, but I think you could hit 62-65mph.
My scooter with a piston group of 63 millimeters and a sports variator modified, at 6000 revolutions per minute, has a speed of 65 miles per hour. Top speed at 7000 rpm is 75 miles per hour. The wheels on my scooter 13 inches.
I have a piston group on a scooter 63 millimeters, a sports variator 115 millimeters in diameter, loads 12 grams, a shortened variator bushing. At a speed of 70 miles per hour, the engine does not exceed 7,000 revolutions per minute. The carburetor and air filter are different. In the gear set overrunning gear. Fuel consumption is 1 gallon for 120 miles at an average speed of 60 miles.
Really nice Vlad. 63mm piston makes it a 180cc. did you have to bore out the cylinder? Still have a lot of work to do but my goal is 70mph, which I should hit this summer. I just have to add one piece at a time so I can debunk theories of certain items increasing speed.
@@kachiskid In general, my scooter is able to develop 80 miles an hour, but it becomes scary to go, because the regular rear brake is not able to stop the scooter at that speed, so I recently made a rear disc brake with hydraulics, and now it's another matter.
Bought another scooter made from 2013 bought parts buying the engine & top end next in a few days . exactly a year and a week i was in a bad accident broke my collar bone totaled the new scooter then moved on glad to be back into it !
Glad to see you back in the game bro! Can't wait to see the new bike. The broken collarbone and hurt nose is just a reminder that we must be careful out there. I knew you would be back on a scooter at some point...lol.
Yes I just uploaded a video toady I took everything apart just waiting on the parts to arrive then Ill have my very first modded gy6 scooter very excited . Going for 200cc on the big bore kit
Never got around to building the junker 150cc I picked up about a year ago. Been too busy and ordering parts in the boondocks for a chinese scooter wasn't working out. Think I'm about to order one of 4 of the common 150cc scoots. Should snag it within the month. I'll keep you updated haha
Your right, I would love to go for a low level flight , but I could never do what you do, scared of heights. I want you to be careful, which I'm sure you are...but I better keep an eye on you so I subbed. Your the best type of drone, one that can talk...lol.
@@kachiskid hey man it's great to see you back on a scooter. I still have my trike. But think I should sale it and move up to a 150 or 200cc. But I need of something I can ride a long ride on. I tried that one time and had to rebuild my engine. GOD bless you 🙏
Thats weird I hit 52 with my 50cc that I bored to 80cc with a carb, variatior, and rollers. I actually just bought a 150cc to do the swap. I hope for the 400 bucks I paid I can hit around 65 or I would have just stuck with what I had. Guess time will tell.
I put a 150cc in a Kymco super8 50x. It was a x-pro motor. It blew up in 60 days. So now I ordered the 171cc jug and piston because it was the cheapest way to go. Hopefully it lasts longer
I grew up in the D when ever I here that music it reminds me of going skating at Royal Skateland on the east side ! R u on any of the scooter guys Facebook page ?
I have been to Royal but on the Westside we had Northland Skating rink which is still going strong to this day. No, not on Facebook as of yet as Kachi's Kid, I will be creating one soon because you know we can't do anything during the winter. If you ever visit your home town, we have to ride together.
Kachi's Kid Oh! You from the D huh? I’m about an hour away!! I just bought a Wolf EX 150 & I can make it go faster by doing what you have done to yours?
without a bigger variator the 171 kit dont do shizznat just more hp 117mm variator or 118mm variator will add 15mph but you need a good lightweight clutch as well plus put a real mukini carb on it
Some Goood riding In traffic ..I got an Open road Near Stadium 🏟 got My high Run up To 62+mph..on " Blue hawk aggro rider". My bike just gots Upgraded belt and Lucas gas treatment..feels Fast enough for mean Streets...168cc 2021 Xpro Saber Capri.
I'm wanting to go 171cc so I don't have to bore the case. viatcci spark 150 with 24mm carb, 115 jet, nibbi intake, full exhaust. 15G sliders loat alot of takeoff but still decent I hit 62mph, 10G sliders I'm hitting 58mph with insane takeoff. gonna keep the 10G cause all my riding is around town with some long stretches.
I have the Vitacci Clash 168cc EFI which is pretty much the same as the Spark except for the engine. With everything stock it always starts instantly and runs good as I would expect from the Lifan engine but the top speed isn't much higher than the carbed 150. It'll do about 100! (KPH), 62 MPH actual speed and gets 76 MPG at high speeds. The digital speedometer is very optimistic reading 76 MPH when the GPS reads 62 MPH. I like the 14 inch wheels. It handles well and the suspension is pretty good for a scooter. Bought it from Amazon for $1375 + $400 shipping. I'm happy with the scooter and would buy it again. BTW I've been riding motorcycles and scooters (old 2 stroke Vespas) for over over 50 years.
@@kachiskid EFI is great except on bikes that will be ridden alone in remote off road areas because if your fuel pump, computer, TPS, etc., fails you're stuck. For street bikes it's the way to go.
My ported and polished CG150, its a 2 valve pushrod 150cc engine in a heavy chinese sports bike body, still did 121kph GPS and can still do a bit more with taller gearing or with added 6th gear.. I think this 171cc can still do more top speed with heavier balls and taller gear setup. I haven't tested my stock GY6 125cc chinese scooter with GPS but it did somewhere between 95kph and 100kph in its analogue speedometer. I'm guessing around 10% off, so that would be around 85kph. Planning to bolt on a 61mm bore kit, matching with it's 57.8mm stroke would give it just below 169cc.
Mine was on progress.. Been planned to put a 28mm carb and for the next 7k miles im gonna replace her brakes. Been planning to put her a 16gr weights and change her clutch, yes a polini!
@@kachiskid btw after i do her basic maintainance(like brakes, bores and cvts and a retouch of smurf blue paints) gotta convert her into thai concept, yes a thai look bike! But gotta change her wheels same size as stock and a bit higher since my enviroments was a bit bumpy
@Kachi's Kid hi. It came stock on my bike. Peugeot Kisbee 100. The engine code is 150qmg-a it has 7hp. I don't have any footage but will organise some if it's useful? Only reason I'm a bit surprised was because I was thinking of getting a 125cc GY6 and installing a 160cc big bore kit. Doesn't look to be enough of a difference to warrant the work for me!
Nice. I would think that a Peugeot would be a little bit more put together than a chinese gy6 engine. Please don't let my non-tuned bike discourage you from getting your upgrade. Peugeot most likely ports and polished their cylinder's for a little for a little extra power.
@@kachiskid Nah i think i was actually just expecting too much. After reading up on stock 125cc GY6 they make about 8hp so a stock 150cc probably isnt much more than that.
@@spyder2001 Exactly, some people think that a 150cc should go 3 times as fast as a 50cc. The CC increase is just the size of the single piston size going up. Increase is in mm circumference.
Yeah, I was having a little race with that SUV, I hit 58 mph and then let up because I caught them. Fuel consumption is great, still getting about 80 miles per gallon. Of course large engine, and larger carb. need more fuel.
The weather has been the worst in many years here. I have gotten in one ride since last year and that is when my carb. flooded and shutoff around Easter. Last year I hit 61mph right after adding the blue CDI. I am working on tuning her starting tomorrow when I see good weather hopefully. I'm also working on the pocket bike, so once I get the final painting done on that bike, I will work on Hope.
I know that it has a lot more speed than that I have a stock 150cc 2008 gy6 with a Mikuni carburetor aftermarket variator and I'm able to do up to 75 miles per hour
Great formula you put together let me enlighten you brother that stock air filter is specifically designed to cut your speed at around 45 of course you gained a little more with a bigger bore if you discard the stock air intake filter system apply cone air filter directly to the carburetor it will completely be derestrict your airflow also apply high performance coil and CDI together they will not work without one another and you will haul buggy 😂 I am a certified technician build these things all the time and have fun with them sky's the limit go for it pal.
No, I love those mirrors. My vision use to be block by those standard mirrors, I could never get them quite right. It's general rule to look back twice but I could feel the traffic that day, a Sunday. I was racing with that SUV I blew past in the start of the video. I catch up to it again in the end and come of the throttle. Just a little fun.
@@kachiskid I built the motor myself. Add me on Facebook is about the only way I think I could show you the bike. Shayne Mason is my name. Or maybe I could post a video on my RU-vid channel this weekend or something.
@@integra91ah yeah I'm going to add you to my Facebook page, but of course you should be posting as RU-vid, come on man... lol. Help us grow the community.
RIP we should get together for a ride I'm getting a ride together bunch of people on the day of the dream cruise 2020 Meeting spot is Meijer parking lot 8 and Woodward. We're going alll the way up Woodward and back down. Meeting time is 1pm be nice to see you out there
@@kachiskid Cool thanks for your response. I'm somewhat worried about how thin the cylinder walls are but you've had that on there for a while now and still stand by it. Next time I need a rebuild I think I'll get the kit.
Ok how come this 171cc still not faster than me 125cc gy6 maybe I'm wrong but your top speed look like 55mph I'm looking 63mph all you needed was to let a little more fuel tthew your standard carburter the 22mm one and one spunge air filter 42mm and get your rollers in 12grams or 13grame if your bike is heavy get 16grams, then boy you good . My video soon come .
Leon, Top speed in this video was 58mph. Here are my list of excuses.. Ran out of time for the season, I am running a A14 cam which is not the correct one for this setup. Carb. has stock jets, and I haven't tuned the bike. I will be moving on from the CV carb. and going with a 28mm flatside soon. Not running a 61mm head just the stock 57.4mm. Orange CDI has been replaced with the blue one (but hasn't been tested) I haven't added my velocity stack yet, still going with under seat airbox. So I got a lot to do, just give me time bro....SHE'S COMING!
171cc...in this video she hit 58mph, but isn't tuned correctly. No worries I have hit higher than that but wasn't filming. Once winter is done we will she what she does before I add anything else.
Petter, a lot of people are caught up on CC's and they shouldn't be....Some of those European 125's are producing more HP's . I have seen some at 12 hp's, my Chinese GY6 engine when I bought it only produced 8.9 hp. As long as I got a GY6 engine I didn't care how much it produced. I was gonna tear it apart anyway. That engine is Taiwanese, TAIDA name brand. It is barely a "chinese" scooter anymore.
Any chance did you have to install High Volume oil pump ? I recently did a 172cc bigbore and engine seized up . I researched and found out I needed a high volume oil pump
Really??? This is the first I am hearing of that someone needed a high volume oil pump. How many miles did you get before the seizure? What was the name brand of the engine you purchased? Where did you research this?
@@kachiskid on mine I'm pushing 190cc cause I added the 2.5mm stroker to my kit . The normal oil pump doesn't keep up with that amount of compression . Reason why they make high flow oil pumps . Which does 20% more . I also purchased an oil cooler just in case .
Sounds like you got a lot going on over there. I know everything I build over 180cc will need to be liquid cooled but most likely I'll buy a complete engine, do a teardown, and replace the parts I want. Heard to many horror stories when attempting to scale up, part by part, at a certain point.
@@kachiskid ok ill upload a video of me wheelieing and i will also show speed on phone will check top speed on a my phone to see if its different from what it says but i dont think so i will reply with vid no reason to lie XDD
and yeh i hope your r3 goes over 100 its a fulll size crotch rocket i had a cr80r bored to 100cc.. and would dog walk most cars to 75-80 made 30+ horsepower on a mini bike lol wheelie every gear weather u wanted it to or not. my friend had a 2018 r3 i rode it alot fun little bike until he totaled it T.T
Lol u guys talk about being faster, while I talk about being more stable. Tell me, do u bleed? I meant, how is ur oil drain vent tube? Keep this up and u should have oil leak all around the cylinder... u should have kept the stock piston n everything else n only do a valve clearance. Would have given u the same speed as 55 mph lol. U want to go faster? Get a bigger scooter 250cc and above.
Thanks for watching. My bike is pretty stable already. I don't run the bike like that all the time, just for a speed run video. I normally cruise around right at the speed limit. Oh yeah, I bleed just like anyone else.. My channel is more about helping people fix their Chinese scooters than anything else (only 2 feature speed runs to date). I didn't want to leave it stock because I bought it to upgrade. Carb. is not tuned right now to go over the speed I'm going right now. Plus I'm running an A14 cam right now, more of a quick start setup. Not a fan of the 250cc, when I do move to 300cc's it will be on a motorcycle. Again thanks for watching and the discussion.
Hold on GY6 Pro, or is it David NervilHAT? I'm confused, I go to your (GY6 Pro) site expecting to get a whole slew of knowledge on stable scooting and I see 2 videos. Bro, you talk about going for a ride and never leave the parking lot in one of them. Come on David you aren't gonna get your subs up trashing on me and my hard work...Remember how you went on and on about my starter clutch sucking? Listen there is room enough in this world for stock guys and mod guys. To be honest, I kinda find your comments insulting. Look how you are talking to me, like I'm some idiot who shouldn't do with his property what he wants. Come on brother don't be my TROLL...
Kachi's Kid lol... then Google DavidNervilHAT... Instagram, Facebook etc... u will c I have more than just GY6... I was looking for something to entertain me in the past n make some vids in early days... Nowadays I don’t do vids, I just rely on my mechanical skills to tune my bike n hit the road... but u r doing my job entertaining these people n I’m proud of u lol... “Do u bleed” is a quote from Batman Vs Superman... Just messing with u here a bit... but I meant I what I say... glad ur only doing a speed test vid n not riding like a crazy otherwise I know this rebuilt wouldn’t last...
Doing your job???....lol. There you go again, Naw I get it, I'm not the 1st to do this by no means. I always show respect for the people on youtube that have helped me get this far. Plus, the biggest thing is that I want to give back to the community, and I'm not just running my mouth. Now, I will say I like to hit homerun's, not singles, so when I do something it's a little bigger than the norm. I hear you loud and clear on pulling my chain, but ride "with me" while I fight for the respect of our Chinese scooters. I already have to clear the air on that touchy subject. Wish me luck...
Kachi's Kid tell me u live in NJ... I swear u would b amazed on how a stock scooter with no high performance parts tops 60+ on flat surface... Hell I would race u any day lol... then u will c why I call myself GY6 Pro...
