In 2019, when Siak Wee Yeo and I met up at CIPS, we promised each other to be the top 2 scapers in 2020. That happened, and though we didn't get to re-meet at a Nature Aquarium Party, 3 years later we got to build this 150 cm Asian River Aquascape together. Honored to have Life Aqua bring us out to Taiwan for this special occasion!

Love the big stones combined with the twig like branches to create that flowing stream look! I wonder if I can get lifeaqua scissors in the states? I definitely need an upgrade 😂 thanks for sharing bud!

Thanks Jeff! Yeah probably- in Fukada-san’s proposed design there would have been 2- and we chose to use the smaller one! LOL

That stone looked heavy. How does glass handle heavy stones. If it's just "dead" weight then it's safe? Incredible tank.

What method do you use to plant plants from the beginning with a lot of stones and wood? Shouldn't you siphon water for the first two or three weeks and then apply bacteria and plant after the water is ready? Please share your method. To use your valuable experience

Nope! Plants (and the bacteria on them) all help progress the cycle. You want as much plants as possible- that said lots of water changes is good at the start!
