To the folks that cry stalling, what would Santiago have done with extra time anyways? Santiago never came close to a takedown and the one time Santiago initiated action, Velasquez got out immediately. And the two single point scoring escapes by Velasquez, just too easy. Anyways, congrats to both wrestlers on outstanding seasons. Bright futures for both kids!
Regardless if Zach stalled, a wrestler who makes it to the state finals should not rely on a call to go his way. Thomas should have continued to wrestle as if the refs were not there. The great part of wrestling is if you lose you can't point a finger at anyone else but yourself.
