Paul...200 stumps!!!!! I thought that I had a pretty good work ethic, but I bow down in humility before you.🙌 That is absolutely outstanding. I know you are very glad you have the backhoe!

Well done Paul! For me a backhoe is essential to the work I do on our property. Of course sometimes I wish it was bigger and more powerful.

Thanks Mike. The backhoe is a great attachment to have. Agreed, sometimes a little more power would be nice, but it's only for that 5% of the time we just need to think outside of the box to make up for the lack of power. Have a great week.

Thanks Luc. I have been on the backhoe a fair bit and as you know there are always a few issues that will come about with a piece of equipment. Yes sometime in September we need to get a round of golf in. You too, have a great week!

Great overview of the backhoe, I definitely like the hydraulic thumb on the mini. But I understand the cost of adding the extra hydraulics. Take care Paul. 🌴😎🍻👍

Thank you Mark. Not only the hydraulic thumb on the mini is great, so is the mini. At some point I will add rear remotes and a hydraulic cylinder for the thumb. Have a super week!

Hey Paul! No matter how big you build a shed, you'll always want a bigger one. I'm really lucky to have my barns. If I fill them, I've got too much stuff 🤠👍

Hey Paul. I like the improvements you made and are planning on making. Taking the swivel seat off makes sense, especially for operator comfort. The shed is probably the most important part, sun can run everything on it. Plus turn it pink 😅.

Good afternoon Kenny. Thanks, there is always a few things that we can improve on our equipment to make the working experience a little better. Absolutely, storing indoors for longevity. LOL, I most certainly don't want my equipment to turn pink. Have a fabulous weekend!

Good morning Paul, really enjoyed the video. The backhoe is my favorite and most used attachment. I have always had an interest in the hydraulic thumb but it would be a quite involved process. I am surprised that the pins, holding the backhoe on, are not gravity self locking. Have a great weekend, Ben 👋😎👍🍻
@JelenOutDoors
@JelenOutDoors 2 месяца назад
Good afternoon Ben and thank you. From your videos I can understand why the backhoe is your favorite attachment, you do a lot of great work with it. I agree the hydraulic thumb install would take a little thought before doing. Just off the top of my head installing some rear ports would be expensive and also would need to be upstream from the backhoe. I think that it depends on the position the backhoe and tractor are in for the pins to self lock. Have a great weekend!

Hello Paul. A backhoe would be great! I would love one for sure. It's surprising how much work a compact with a backhoe will do. Great review! Certainly, lots of things to think about. Makes you wonder what goes through some engineer's heads lol. Take care

Good morning John. Thanks. These compact tractors and all of the implements and attachments sure enable a surprising amount of work that can be done. Totally agree, it does make one wonder what goes through some engineer's heads. You too, take care and have a great day!

Very thorough review of the backhoe, Paul. I am surprised that you need to remove the structural fender tie. And, yes, have enough work to warrant the purchase of a backhoe. Otherwise, you have an expensive yard ornament.

Thank you Rick. Whether I rotate the tractor seat (the old way) or use the new back seat, the fender stay support bracket had to be removed in order to allow room for the seat and me to fit to operate the backhoe. In addition the hazard lights use to be mounted on that fender stay support that I removed and are now connected to the fenders with new brackets. Have a fabulous weekend!

Good Morning To Both Of You 👍👍👌👌😇😇 200 Stumps, dozens of Stones now that is an OUTSTANDING Work 💪😇 Yes It is Therapeutic ( BETTER THAN GOING TO MENTAL HEATH SESSIONS !!! ) 🤣👍 If I may suggest you can add outriggers protections angle iron like I have on my backhoe to protect the hydraulic cylinders 🧐👍Yes You can remove your seat swivel systems for sure 😇👍 Is that plate connecting both fenders can be reduce in size ? I have a a feeling that is also structural strength too ?! 🧐 Ho man, that his expensive hydraulic loss 😢😢 Noisy aircraft flying over you good folks 🤣 Yes my backhoe is heavy too !!! Yes store your backhoe inside 😇👍 I guess you need a new shed for your implements 🙏😇Yes My Backhoe was paid very fast with all the work that I have done with it 😇👍I can't wait to see your OUTSTANDING Videos and filmed by your Lovely Wife Videographer Sir 👍😇🧐👌Cheers 🍻

Good afternoon Sir. Lots of stumps and rocks for sure and a lot more to remove. I did notice the protection angle iron for the stabilizers on your backhoe and yes that is a great idea. I'll have to figure out what I need to do for that. No, the fender stay plate would not work if reduced in size and yes I agree it added structural strength. Yup, hydraulic fluid is expensive. There is a flight path coming from the west that goes into Ottawa and every so often some of the planes fly in a little lower. More storage for the implements would be a good thing. Yes I have seen you using your backhoe quite extensively in your videos and getting your moneys worth. Thanks for the kind words and have a super weekend!

i think if you use a tractor after a while you konw all it's weakpoints.i have an older kubota b 2140 with 21 hp which is much enough for our little farm and it have every skills like a big one,4WD ,difflog and pto and i install a front bucket also together with my iron worker.after one year it all works perfect but during the year before we have to change some things that you only know when you are woking with it.i think that is normal.nice video and i like to see you working with your tractor.👍👍👍👍🚜🚜best regards to you and have fun with your tractor,have a good one.
@JelenOutDoors
@JelenOutDoors 2 месяца назад
You are right about that, over time you really do learn a lot about the weak points and what you need to do to make it better for operating. Thanks for watching and you too, have fun with your tractor. Take care!

Paul I’m also not a fan of the flimsy fenders seems cheap and not robust as you would think being a tractor. I don’t like the height of the swivel seat it feels like it sits to high almost a lot of pressure on my hamstrings when operating the pedal. I’m currently having drifting issues with my loader with a set of forks on I’m building a deck, with some deck boards on the forks for a mobile work bench well the tilt and loader are drifting down creeping maybe internally. Contacted my dealership and waiting to get it in for a look. Thanks for the video work safe !
@JelenOutDoors

Good afternoon and thank you for sharing what you are experiencing. I think that over time with amount of vibration and twisting from the tractor the fenders may become even more loose without the fender stay support. I totally agree, the swivel is too high and I also feel the same pressure on my hamstring. I am going to remove the swivel today and reinstall the old seat mount. Have you tried putting the loader lever lock on? I'd be very interested to hear what the dealer says about the drifting issues with your loader and hopefully it's just something minor. You too, work safe. Have a super weekend!

Ignore my question" Have you tried putting the loader lever lock on?" that's just to lock the lever.

@@JelenOutDoorsPaul I got my tractor back the dealership stung me for two hours of labour to pick a load of gravel up with the bucket and time the drift. Dropped 1” in 5 minutes. The allowable is 2” in 5 minutes. The tilt drifted 1/4” in 5 minutes the same allowable, they then told me the pressure might be low or something so they tested it, I know it’s just unplug a loader hose and attach a gauge and operate the loader. Pressure is right in the middle of the spec. So the drift under load I guess is normal. Stung me 320 bucks for the two hours of labour to tell me nothing is wrong. Not impressed, so maybe a phone call to the dealership tomorrow will happen. Have you ever noticed the bucket or forks drifting down with weight in/on them? Tractor turned off. Love to know if any one else has noticed that before. Tractor has 23 hours on it to add LX2610.
@JelenOutDoors
@JelenOutDoors 2 месяца назад
Wow, that was a little too expensive. I would have not been very happy about that either. Now I have no idea at what height the dealer tested at for your loaded bucket or how much of a load was in the bucket. I did a test just to see. For my test I used a full load of gravel with the bucket completely curled back and the bucket edge set at 39 1/2". Here is what I got for the bucket drop: Starting height ..... 39 1/2" After 5 minutes ..... 38 7/8" After 10 minutes ... 38 1/4" After 15 minutes ... 37 3/8" After 20 minutes ... 36 3/4" I did not measure the tilt, it didn't appear to move. Obviously the dealers test and my test were conducted unknowingly different. Also, my tractor is just over 2 years old and has 600 hours on it thus differs from yours. If you check all external parts of the cylinders, fittings and lines, along with the valve and there is no fluid leaking anywhere then it is internally the seals of the cylinders or the valve that the fluid is flowing by. If fluid is leaking internally in the cylinder they can be rebuilt, but I think if fluid is getting past the valve then the entire valve is what gets replaced. Supposedly, the tolerances from one valve to another can differ so there is no guarantee when replacing a valve that it will be better or worse than the one you have. Therefore, a repair is only necessary if the leak is causing a drift outside of the allowable tolerance. My understanding is that there is always going to be some drift and that is normal. If an internal leak you can test if it is the cylinder or the valve by relieving the hydraulic pressure then switching the hoses for the bucket and the loader and retest with a load.
