After watching the 2nd Frog, I had to come and watch this one... Wowzer!!!

O my lord !!!! He's beautiful !!!!! You so amazing!!!!! I love him !!!!

For some reason I kept expecting the layer of resin that was going over the glitter and gold dust would be colored black. It seems to me that gold shows up real good against black and looks very elegant.

I have that frog mold and I ordered one that looks like yours I'm waiting on mine to harden so I can brush my powder waiting is the hard part . Ps when the resin is getting thicker that's the time to do the toes spreading .

I use syringes from the farm feed store for adding resin to small areas. I don't use a needle, just the barrel is enough. It's easy to draw it into the syringe and goes only where I put it. You can time it too so that you can use it when it's more fluid or thickening, as you want. You make the loveliest things! Great video!

I do not know what I expected but it exceeded everything I could have imagined.

This frog turned out so much better than I expected (I try not to look at the thumbnail photo so I get a surprise). The shine of the gold was stunning and I loved the glittery sections. I am very excited to see it with different colours!

I’m 87.63% sure the frog with the pointed toes is actually a toad… glitter frog and pebble toad

If you want to know how much resin you need for an irregular mold, pour some water into it, and then pour the water into a cup and weigh it. Then add 10% to that amount to compensate for how much will stick to the cup. You can even write the amount on the side of the mold in Sharpie, so you never forget.

Oh I'd absolutely love to see this done with Green glitter and green resin but still dusted gold. Would the green be seen? Would it intensify the gold skin?

I use let’s resin’s metallic powder and you get a totally different effect even if filled with the powder mixed. I love love love metallic powder xx

Part A and part B do not weight the same in each brand and version of resin. Mas epoxies has an interesting set of charts online. The 4 examples shown for 2:1 epoxies give the following numbers for mixing by weight. Two they say should be done with 100 of part A and 43 of B and the other two, 100 and 45. The reason each resin has different properties, like curing time or viscosity is because they have different formulas. The varying amounts of and kinds of chemicals will change the weights of parts A and B. The question is, how much does the formula change the weights of parts A and B from one resin to another? In the examples above, 2 resins had no differences in weight and the other two were 2 grams less for part B. The bottles clearly say to measure by volume which is curious because that is less accurate than measuring by weight. You seem to use one weight chart for all resins and they work. Maybe the differences in weight from resin to resin are not enough to matter. From their recommendation to eyeball volume, there must also be some degree of leeway in amounts mixed that still sets up fine. But sure, when you show a bottle that says measure 2:1 by VOLUME, that word in all caps on the label, and then you immediately give weights used, people ARE going to ask questions smile.

Love your videos and I'm waiting for my frog mold to come. I do have a question that I hope you can help with. I made some small puffy hearts by brushing the mica in the mold then pouring black resin. What I'm finding is the mica scratches off very easily. Have you had this issue and what did you do to resolve it? Please make more frogs, they are so cute!!

Have you tried the couple drops of clear Elmer's Glue in with the resin and glitter. It keeps the glitter suspended in the resin.

That turned out super cute! I like the gold dusted in vs. added into the resin. It is 9:30 pm here in the San Fransisco Bay Area

He turned out so great! That glitter is beautiful. I think dusting him and adding the Mehron to the resin was the perfect way to do it. I love the smooth gold finish that dusting gave him and having the solid gold backing against the glitter really makes the glitter stand out. I imagine pouring your puffy heart mold with glitter and adding a solid shimmering backing like this, would be really beautiful too. I don’t have either of the frog molds but, I do have a few Koi Fish molds that I want to try this technique with. Thanks for the inspiration and another fun video!

Julie you should try using uv nail polish with us light for fine details and then pour your other resin. He's vary handsome, don't kiss him!

Could you have done some UV resin to do that small amount of glitter? I think it would work well for that small places.

I am so glad I found you. I've wanted to try resin and now I have found the motivation. I'm a frog collector. My ancestors came from France and Canada and for some reason they call us frogs.

instead of adding color to the resin, why don't you just dust the top of the the glittery resin that you've already poured and set? Save some product

A dropper might make it easier to get the resin in there, and maybe using some sort of putty to section off the areas to stop it from running down or maybe wait for the resin to get thicker 🤔. Beautiful little frogs! Have me looking for that mold to try this out 😄
