This is a 15k points F2P No Stall, No Region Scout showcase for May 20th, 2024's Master Mode in Pokémon Masters EX. This was another straightforward week, and our F2P Strike EX sync pairs were able to shine in most of these battles!

~~Summary ~~
Round 1, Shauntal Highlights:
- Dana/Regice are here to buff
- Lorelei/Lapras EX freeze, mostly
- Ghetsis/Kyurem EX serve up Glaciates & sync moves
This fight can be quite easy or difficult depending on whether Kyurem's Cold Snap kicks in or not. Either way, the main strategy is to prioritize your move gauge so that you can spam Glaciate; throw in an Ice Beam with Lapras whenever you can to increase your freezing chances. Beyond that, you'll want to make sure to apply Dana's Super Up effect just before Kyurem's sync move for maximum damage!
Round 2, Grimsley Highlights:
- Janine/Crobat EX should buff & poison
- Evelyn/Entei buff &...exist
- Sycamore/Bulbasaur EX are here to Leaf Storm & sync move
This strategy is just going to leverage Bulbasaur's sync scaling factors to take out Grimsley's team as quickly as possible. As you gear up for the first sync move, use Janine's crit buff at least once, and get Toxic to land on Sharpedo. Your sync move should wipe out the side mons, but if not, you can take them out strategically to stay ahead of the sync move countdown. Either way, a few more Leaf Storms and a second sync move should definitely land you the victory 👍🏽
Round 3, Marshal Highlights:
- You/Mesprit are on shielding & buffing duty
- You/Torchic buff away
- Giovanni/Mewtwo EX should focus on sync moving & Psychics
As with all the Psychic fights, we're completely leaning into Mewtwo's scaling & stats to handle this for us. Set up Reflect and gear up Mewtwo's stats for the first sync move, then just keep on spamming Psychics to finish the job. Even with a little bit of bad luck, Pyschic should be strong enough post sync move to wipe them out 🧹
Round 4, Caitlin Highlights:
- Giovanni/Persian EX buff & flinch
- Nanu/Persian bring on more flinching
- Karen/Umbreon EX are set up for a big sync move
Once again, Caitlin's fight is the most annoying of the set. We're using a flinching strategy, and since Musharna is quite strong, you'll need at least two flinches before your first sync move to make this work: one on Musharna, then one on Mismagius. This will allow you to take less damage from their sync move while also keeping your move gauge and sync countdown optimized. Caitlin's sync move will certainly wipe out Nanu, so you'll have to rely on Giovanni's flinching to carry you after that point. Umbreon's second sync move should bring you close to the KO on Musharna; one last semi-sacrificial Double-Edge should finish the job!
Final Round, Iris Highlights:
- Sycamore/Xerneas EX focus on buffing & tanking
- You/Registeel are here to buff & heal
- Cyrus/Palkia EX Spacial Rend & big boom sync move
This round effect is used to crank up Palkia's damage as high as possible. Haxorus is strong enough to take out Xerneas in one hit, so your biggest obstacle to victory is making sure that Xerneas survives long enough to carry Palkia through to its first sync move. Ideally, you should try to get ahead on sync countdown by taking out Kommo-o with your sync move after it has queued up its own move. Heal or attack with Registeel as needed, and prioritize those Spacial Rends to make it past the finish line as smoothly as possible 😎
