Until now, I've only seen the videos with your head in the lower right hand corner of the screen, then this video automatically played after another one of your videos, however I was writing and didn't look up until 1:09 and was just like "Wow he is much smaller than I expected!" Then you stood up and absolutely blew my mind 🤣

Would it be possible for the two initial examples with the primary carbocation to undergo a hydride shift, essentially giving the other two conjugated carbocations anyway (but still momentarily forming the initial primary carbocation)?
Jake, if you are referring to Frontier Molecular Orbital (FMO) Theory and specifically how it applies to cycloaddition reactions then I cover it at the end of the very next lesson (16.5) for Diels-Alder reactions and in 16.6 for Cycloaddition reactions in general.
