I'm not grandparent yet ( my son will be 16). However, when I first having baby shower two things were given to me I never would've thought of and where give very good use. The first was a small slim plastic hamper from Target. The next was Dreft. Both the detergent and the pre-treater were great. Especially, the pre-treater! My son always had white and clean clothes, zero stains.
Love these hacks Shannon! Congratulations on being first time Grandma! I’m Gigi. So many Nan’s and Nana’s and Grandma’s we settle on Gigi. I love it! Just be yourself a d spend time with them. My 2nd one (girl) is due late August and we are so excited! As they get older, be the one to listen to them. My grandson shares so much with me and his Mom said I wouldn’t trade your relationship with my son for anything! He tells you things he would never tell me! Last time he did this I asked him if I could share this I for with his Mom and he said “please do” it will be so much easier for me. I’m so blessed to be that person he trusts. You will do great! ❤😊👍
I'm Mamaw, my friend Gammy, another friend is Gigi and my sister is Gi Gi (pronounced gee gee) There's nothing in life as special as being a grandparent! I have 2 granddaughters and a grandson, they're amazing!! ❤❤❤
Saw your travel tips video 1st. Wanted to add that if your in the US & forget an item, find the closest dollars tree there. Also great if you need a book to read or activities for children. You can get everything for manicures as well. Thanks for your wonderful videos!😊
Congrats on becoming a new grandparent soon! 🩷💙 My oldest grandson named me “Nia” at 1yo as that’s how “gma” came out & I LOVE it!! 14 years later and both grandsons still call me Nia 💙💙. My best advice is of course lots of pictures but don’t forget videos! It is so fun going back and listening to how their voices have changed throughout the years. We think we won’t forget but we do and videos are WONDERFUL reminders! Enjoy!! ❤
One of my favorite shower gifts - pin baby clothes on a clothesline and drop inside a cute basket. Drape the ends of clothesline over each side of basket. Cover clothes with a cute blanket. The Mom to be, along with another person pulls each end of clothesline, making a cute display of baby clothes
Congratulations! Being a grandparent is the best. I'm Oma and my husband is Opa. My parents were still alive and were called Grandpa and grandma. So we thought we should go by another name. 😉 Now we have 4 generations. ❤
Consider using some dollartree peel and stick to fix the shelves where you put your bathroom organizer. Peeling paint and uneven surfaces harbor all kinds of dirt and bacteria. First thing I noticed.
My advice for being a grandparent don't do what my mom did to me which was trying to overpower me when it came to b-day and holidays she didn't realize how much it hurt me
