Commenting to provide an update after a year, this bike is much better than I have mentioned in the video. I realized later I was comparing the quality of this kids bike to an adults enduro mountain bike that people race… so it wasn’t fair that I was this critical of the bike. The brakes do loosen up over time and make it easier to pull. And with a current retail price of $299, I think this is a great bike to purchase. It’s extremely light, and I didn’t realize how much I was going to like the belt drive. It almost seemed like an unnecessary “bonus” but it’s been very convenient due to lack of maintenance and there’s no chain stretch either to wear down the cogs.
