Being sick of spending time creating teen townies looking OK to then visit Trifty store and see them all messed up wearing weird sunglasses crazy hats, gloves, sandals and long socks AND leggings ALL AT THE SAME TIME!! Thanks for the recommendations. I'm really stoked for Zerbu's changes to the school lot for clubs. I wanted to have a music club there so my mentor sim can give music lessons after school. EDIT: It works!! Added Zerbus Venue changes and the high school add on and my sim can now have a club gathering at the school or the auditorium!! My teen sims get band practice as an after school activity! :)

Jeez I thought that "being constantly on the phone" was bug not that it was made intentional by the sims team ☹ Definitely gonna get the mod. When I played yesterday my sims were CONSTANTLY on the phone during interaction with other sims or even breaking up interactions and actions entirely just to make some stupid animation with their phone and I have to click everything anew. It's so annoying!

This is amazing having mods that can make are games better but it just shows how many small details there is missing in the Sims 4. The game alone is runned by mods. plain and simple. We are lucky to have mod creators to help us out like this

Thank you for this list. You make life much easier for all of us who would otherwise have to trawl through goodness knows how many websites looking! You've done the work for us! Very grateful. Now I haven't played much with this new pack as yet (been spending ages building a half decent school!) but I did a quick test the other day just to see what happens when you turn up at school. With reference to what you said about the "High School Spawn Fix" mod, when the character I was playing arrived, two teens I had created were already there. I'm guessing there's a certain percentage chance of this happening and I was just lucky and that the mod would greatly increase this chance. It's certainly one I'll be looking at because I want to create a love story between two specific Sims (both created by me but only one actually played and the other an NPC with a plan for them to eventually merge) and I want them to meet at school. I'll see how it works out. Thanks again for all your efforts.

I 5000% agree!! I haven't even gotten the werewolves pack yet. And from what I've seen in others' gameplay, there are far fewer bugs and the gameplay is way more in depth than HSY. I'm still enjoying this new pack, but I wish Werewolves got its proper time to shine. 🐺

Zerbu's old Go To School mod was so much better than High School Years. If we got all the BB & CAS items we did with HSY and have it work the ways GTS worked it would have been perfect. Maybe the Sims teams should collaborate with modders who have already created mods that the Sims teams wants to implement into the game.

I believe they are starting to do this! Kind of. ItsKatato, the original creator of the pre-teens mod I mentioned in this video, was recently hired by EA to work on The Sims 4! 😄 That's why Adeepindego adopted the maintenance of the mod for the future.

Well the constant use of the smartphone is an issue in REAL LIFE too, and to this day is the cause of most car accidents happening, with drivers distracting themselves with their devices, even with governments trying to limit the problem with spots and sanctions. At least in the game this behaviour don't cause car crashes (There aren't cars to begin with).

Oh they're super easy! Very similar to CC. Just read each creator's description for details on the more complex/customizable ones, like Education Overhaul or SimDa. EA also put out a page on how to safely and properly use mods, especially when updating or troubleshooting your game.

Do you mean the options on the mailbox don't even show up? It may be a sign that there's a mod conflict, did you check the mod overview for the conflict list to see if you have any of the mods listed?

I’m a huge fan of some of these mods, but my computer can’t handle every mod I want at once🥺. Lol I plan on changing that soon with a new computer but I wanted to ask if that- I made this really long sorry,- I forgot the name of the mod, but it’s the one that you can put high schools in any world. Does that work with multiple high schools in multiple worlds? Because that would be fun for my royal challenge game play.

Right now there can only be one active high school at a time. If you have multiple lots with the High School lot type and you choose to go to school with your Sim, the game will choose one at random to take you too, you can't choose. 😔

I thought like with some of the jobs you can go with your Sim to the job; so I’m thinking I. can go with my teen to the high school. Seeing this most commonly as a mods conflict. Try removing your mods folder to see if it helps and make sure everything you have is up to date.

Is that happening with both versions? The Middle School version keeps preteens in rabbit hole school, but regular teens can still go to class normally (this is the one I currently have downloaded). The Junior High option lets preteens to go to Active High School alongside with normal teens.

With the SimDa Dating app, I actually found that my sims just wouldn't stay faithful while using it! Constantly flirting and starting to kiss behind their partners backs, so just beware of that

It's honestly so true! I can say though, that one of the mods I mentioned in this video (Pre-Teens Mod), the original creator of it, ItsKatato, was recently hired by EA to work on The Sims 4! 🙂 That's why they passed on management of the mod to Adeepindego. I'm hopeful this means EA is _kind of_ paying attention to what the community wants. 😅

Do you have older mods installed? There are some that conflict and can cause this issue. I recommend removing the mods folder and, if you're able to attend at that point, you can do the 50/50 method to narrow down which mod is broken.

Right now I'm using MCCC for this. From the PC, you go MCCC> Population > Maximum Sims in zone. EA default is 20, but the more Sims you allow, the more it can possibly slow your game.

That explains a few things, like how my Plumbite Pier is ALWAYS a ghost town despite me having a higher zone limit. 🤣 I'm sure they're working on a fix for it now, EA must have coded this new world strangely.

How odd! Did you include all of the required Sim types? If you choose too many sims they may not all spawn since each lot has a limit.

Wants and Fears replaced the previous Whims system, but they can be enabled and disabled the same way in the gameplay settings.

the teen i had pre-pack went to high school, but a child sim in the same household aged up and wouldn’t go to school. the work/school tab just constantly said “school in 2 days” regardless of the day

Yes! I actually recorded this after verifying all mods mentioned were updated/compatible with the most recent patch. 🙂

Mods are a preference, not a requirement. I see them as an enhancement to what the game offers at its base, but there are plenty of people who play without mods and have a great time! 🙂 No one is forcing anyone to download mods if they don't want to, and this is definitely not what was said in this video, so I'm not sure if there's some kind of misunderstanding or assumption happening here.

@@KimbaSprite This is my personal view point, been playing Sims since the mid-2000's, and I'm just annoyed at how awful things have gotten. I'm glad there a tons of people who enjoying the game, but its hard to defend these prices when these DLC's add new game mechanics in the laziest way possible. Like any QA tester could tell you that school days are not long enough, there's barely any gameplay in the new pack and $40 is too much for such a small amount of content. If it was cheaper, I'd be more forgiving, but charging $40 for a lazy expansion (which has become the norm for The Sims) and the added bugs and problems that make the game worse overall ,when the expansion should be improving the game. Is just poor game dev work, and makes EA look the same as they always do.. lazy, cheap and refusal to apply actual effort or passion to their projects.

Sims walking around constantly staring at their phone is probably the single most realistic thing that EA has put into the game. That being said, it is extremely annoying. 😂

Vanilla gameplay has its charms, but mods & cc have drastically improved my own personal enjoyment of the game and kept me playing more consistently than vanilla ever did!
