Amazing, isn't it? Tjeerd Oosterhuis has written/composed this song 20 years ago, long before Emma was even born (Emma has told that in an interview). And yet, Emma is the first singer who is taking it on. And listening to the lyrics: it could have been written especially for her, which of course it isn't. Sometimes we must not even try to understand events happening in life. And her voice? Well: just Emma I will say. She is not pretending or trying to be another singer. And I love that.

Consider this, the song was written by her friend Tjeerd Oosterhuis 20 years ago, 5 years before Emma was even born! He never recorded it or published it, or gave it to anyone else to perform until Emma. The song has been waiting all these years just for Emma! How magical is that?

@@jazluvr99 it's not something that is talked about too much, and it's a painful subject for Emma, when the doctors were still not sure what was wrong, and it took them 9 YEARS to fully and accurately diagnose her, one of the bad results was they managed to damage her gag reflex, so she can't now vomit, and that's how the stomach deals with some problems, so a huge issue for her with the gastroparesis. She doesn't talk about it much because she can't change it, and she is determined to not let the illness define her, and she does exactly that incredibly well. I have huge admiration and respect for the way Emma lives her life, she is one very switched on young woman, and comes across incredibly well.
