Bernth. I don't know you, but your playing is a big part of why I picked up a guitar last year, and seeing just what progress looks like and being allowed to see how long it takes is encouraging to me, and really encourages me to give myself grace as I learn. Thank you for this.
What I love about your channel is that it accurately highlights the very small incremental improvements that a guitarist can make, you never just "nail it" you understand it than implement it but that is just the beginning, consistency shows you bit by bit what you need to work on
Lmao bro. Your stuff in 2014 was amazing. Love the humility. Love the technical precision and the constant strive for perfection even more. Thumbs up from Texas.
Thank you for all of the content you put out over the years and for sharing your tips with all of us. Im a beginner but you’ve helped me progress quite quickly. I really appreciate you and I look up to you; I hope I can be as good as you are someday.
Awesome man! Your videos have helped me a lot with gaining speed, that pick grip is a game changer! Now to build stamina and follow your tutorials and hopefully I'll be shredding too someday 💪
Getting the clarity of ALL of the notes is so difficult, being that I only get to practice on the weekends I spend a lot of time sweeping the same shit over and over 😂 been practicing sweep picking for 10yrs or more and it’s always challenging but I totally love the sound of it!
As a drummer who is also playing guitar for a while your shredding is just unreal to me. If I couldn't see you do it I would say it is impossible to play like this.
BERNTH can you make a video on your yearly progress of the amount of clarity of shapes you would see on the fretboard? Do you know what I mean like I can remember when I first started and I could just play modes up and down but eventually going through life you find alternate ways of doing things sometimes on your own. I’d be very interested in hearing this.
The only thing that “reassures” me is that actually took 16 years (I started guitar last year and I’m already freaking out bc I can’t do what I want and eventually give up on many songs)
I have 35 years of sloppy arpeggios to show for it. Never really learned to do them cleanly. I can play fast and usually clean so when I do my sweeps, to the average person, it still sounds clean. But to me it makes me want to throw my guitar in a wood chipper and soak my face is lava. It’s time to progress!!!!!
I am not particulary intrested in that level of technique because i dont need it for what i wanna play, but still i can't help but admire the neverending chase some have for perfection
I dont know if u have already a video about this... Why some guitar players sweep close to the neck, instead close to the bridge for mute the strings? 😮
As a gifted player you should know that even 600 years of sweeping training cannot substitute creativity.. Check out for more creative playing which really can enhance your performance 😊
Once you’ve played guitar your brain hears notes in our heads and our fingers wiggle. Playing guitar to me is therapeutic. Some days it happens so so easily, some days a struggle. I stopped for 30 years, huge mistake, but came back with a vengeance and love playing more now than I did in my 20’s
RU-vid guitar shorts - sweep picking is easier than you think! Also RU-vid - sweep picking will only take 16 years to perfect if you practice every day... :/
How to get better at guitar quicker? Ive got a limited lifespan and im never happy with my progress :( i want to be somewhat good, all my friends are my age and better
I have never been able to sweep pick. I can play fast but I can't fucking sweep pick. Maybe I am and I'm not realizing it or I'm just that bad after 20 years.
