Solfrid Koanda (NOR -87/81) not only out-totalled the silver medalist by 50kg, but she out-totalled all of the super-heavyweights, including Emily Campbell and Mary Theisen-Lappen. Her 120kg snatch and 160kg clean and jerk were enough to award her the title of best female lifter, an award she whole heartedly deserved.

Crazy that the EWF and IWF standards for this weightclass are even higher than this, while not attainable by even the heavier category lifters. She should be a record holder by now.

To the people who thinks, Solfrid Koanda is on drugs: let us put things into perspective: Yes she beats the other competitors in the 87 kg class, but the world record in the 76 kg class is 124 kg in snatch and 156 in clean & jerk. And the mens 55 kg class lifts 135 kg in snatch and 166 kg in clean & jerk. And I know for a fact that the testing for drugs in Norway ar top notch. You get tested all the time, even unannounced at your home before you wake up in the morning - and they waych you pee. No way she is on any drugs. Why is she so relatively strong? She is 50 % west african - the ethnicity with the most fast twitch fibers in the world. And even as a child she was very muscular. No drug s here, just raw talent!

I have to call this out - no proof of course, but everything I see here points to a drug-assisted competitor. Not to take away from the high performance of her lifting, which either way is super impressive - just not very fair on natural competitors if true.
