There's a definite learning curve to using this tool. I find the feedback from spools very subtle and, at times, hard to detect. Thanks for Watching Cheers 👍🍻
Thank you 😁 It's definitely a new skill.. although it uses some of the understanding I already have, the motor skills still need time to develop some finesse. I've just picked open an Abus rock with it and I was having to manually counter Cheers bud 👍 🍻
Thank you 😁 I think I'm just making the rookie mistake of using too much tension with the lishi. Well spotted! That is a well used Big Six, just arrived today.. it was listed as a 5-lever so I got it for a bargain price 😁 I started recording a video then realised none of my current tensioners would fit over that post 😆 I'll make myself a tensioner tomorrow and try again 😆 Cheers 👍 🍻
Thank you There's a Yale 6 for pins up rim cylinder night latch and ovals and the Yale 6B for the euro profiles.. I went with this one because it's probably going to be the most useful one for me. Cheers bud 👍 🍻
You can only tension clockwise with this tool. Anticlockwise tension will bind up the picking lever... It's not a problem for locksmiths as they can always use a plug spinner if needed. Cheers bud 👍 🍻
The 6B is for euro profiles with the pins at the bottom. That's the most common orientation here and the vast majority of my practice locks are euro profiles. The lack of perceived feedback is probably just down to inexperience.. I'm probably using too much tension like a rookie 😆 Cheers bud 👍 🍻
