The real thing is - Baekhyun was MC of this show and there was no plans of performance they just did it for fans request . As he was MC , there was no enough time to wear mic so he didn't wear it . Well , while performing , the part of his song was delayed . So they had to wait for the it cuz they have to match the dance choreography . So Members were just a bit confused....
Just wanted to tell you that this would never happen, it might be a mistake from the staff they didnt check mics but there is no way a group would perform just cuz fans wanted especially for a big events like this

I think he actually knows he's not wearing a mic. The part at the beginning where he looked confused was because his singing part was delayed so they had to wait until the vocals had to start playing to continue their dance 😂
To explain it easily: EXO already prerecorded the stage because Baekhyun is MC.So the prerecorded version was aired on TV while this performance was just for the fans who were present at the venue.
let alone all "lipsync" part (which was explained already) but they need in-ear usually while performing bcuz of the noisy fans they sometimes can't clearly hear the music and beats without it so it become trouble to dance without mistakes. The fact that he was able to dance normally is amazing. I remember I watched dancer reaction to one of SuperM performances when Taemin had troubles with his in-ear and removed it completely, he was impressed

Whenever Baekhyun makes a mistake, he tries to see Chen's reaction. And because of that, Chen is always smiling at him. Baekhyun is confused and when he sees Chen's big smile he laughs too.

It is obvious that he is upset. It is obvious that he got awkward while performing. The show must go on even if he felt very upset. I feel sorry at the same time laughing because it is very cute. @@alfinasabila755 sebelum perform mereka udah pre recording dulu, guna nya untuk antisipasi kalo ada masalah kayak gitu (lupa bawa mic, mic mati, dsb) dan saat perform rekaman mereka yang tadi di buat backsong dengan volume kecil. Jadi saat perform ttp nyanyi real, pas renjun lupa bawa mic itu masih ketolong sama rekaman dia sendiri pas sebelum perform (lipsing dg suara rekaman nya tadi)
exo already prerecorded their performance because baek was an mc so he wont have time to change outfit and take his mic, which means they didnt rlly have to perform live. however they did it for the fans in the studio.
I see a lot of exols were just as confused as them hahaha this wasn't because of Baek's mic but it was just the music stopped for a sec. He was the mc for that night as you can see on his outfit so they really played the pre-recorded one. Nonetheless cute mistake! 👍🏻🤣
Yes, that's true, it's not really his mistake, it's really the song has a glitch, he was right all along, the only problem it that he could not hear the song because he doesn't have the earpiece 😌, but he managed to perform perfectly 👍
Most of their outfits are amazing here, especially Kai's and Sehun's. However Suho's is pretty terrible and it looks like Xiumin lost the bottom half of his hoodie. And of course Baekhyun is adorable here!

It was because he was the MC (presenter) of this show,and that the song was a fan request so they wasn't prepare.Also the song kept delaying do that's why everybody was confused.
