162 - System Options Not Set"
Your system configuration has changed since your last boot (addition of a hard drive, etc) or a loss of power to the Real Time Clock has occured. The Real Time Clock will lose power if the on board battery is not functioning correctly.
Pressing F1 will record the new configuration. If this message persists you may need to replace the onboard battery.
"This error message occurs when the hardware is modified and the System BIOS options are forced to change." See the instructions to resolve the issue this video...

Hi, I need help. Everytime I open my PC it always shows 163 and I have to set it up manually everytime. is there a way to fix that permanently so that I can just start my PC normally.

Ola amigo, tenho a mesma CPU com o mesmo problema, fiz tudinho indicado no video seu, quando vou na Bios ai altero tudo e quando vou para guardar ele cola nem sai na tela de guadar da BIOs. O que deverá ser?

Por un momento pensé que este tutorial no servía porque no hacía nada cuando presione las teclas pero cambié de teclado y funcionó mi teclado semi mecánico no respondía si prendía pero no respondía pero al final pude prenderla hacer como el tutorial y lograr ver de nuevo mi fondo de escritorio gracias men

I got the same problem . i already did what the video said . the problem in the start it start reading memory and after that it shows no system disk or disk error stroke any key to restarr and then after shutting down my conputer it just show the same date and time problem and i tried to replace the hard disk didnt work either . boot from usb didnt work either . do you have any idea ? Please

I have the same problem. But I cant press f1 or either of other f keys (f10 included). I have replaced on board battery with a new one, but still the same 162 error. Someone please help...?

I’ve changed dhe onboard battery but it still appears the same display & when I press f10 it appears nothing.

Hola tengo ploblema mi hp compaq dc5750 error 162 - las opciones del sistema no configuradas su configuración de systenm ha cambiado desde que se produjo el reloj de tiempo real. Al pulsar f1 se grabará la nueva configración. Si este mensaje persiste, es posible que deba reemplazar la batería integrada. pero mi cpu no hace nada cuando le doy la opcion de F1, Oh F9 ni las demas se queda el mensaje en la pantalla

problem is : my keyboard not working in this situation, ive tried every ports (front & behind ) and changed keyboards but they getting powered bcoz lights blinking in my RGB keyboard, but no INPUT going on into the system . I'll let u know if something works.

I've found the solution of above said problem : Its the "(not RGB , Bluetooth, programmable keyboards) " they may not work on boot motherboard system (most times they may work on latest systems) but in these kinds of old core2duo system only basic wired keyboard will work in these situations.
