Jesus indirectly says through Luke 6:32 that the Israelites' God is a sinner. According to them, their God blesses (loves) those who love Him. Luke 6:32 says, “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them."
Yes there seems to be a clear Discrepancy in the identity of the God Figure in the New Testament. It appears this issue arose due to the matter of Theodicy rather than Theology. The Old Testament God Figure( YHWH/Elohim) clearly does not have a 'Sweet loving darling Father' Personality or Image, Rather a Cruel, Hot tempered( & Short tempered), Child killing, Bloodthirsty Ruler/king/Master Personality. Nevertheless he is Just, Benevolent, and Forgiving. It is clear that Jesus and his followers didn't like to be associated with a God having these Personalities. Moreover as the Christians were being marginalized by the Jews of the time, they would have certainly thought of the their God being more calmer and sane(better Theodicy) than their Jewish brothers. They didn't not believe they were worshipping a different God; Jesus thought or taught that, instead they Firmly believed that their Description(theodicy) of the God of Israel was the True Description and that of the Jews was wrong
Severe light blinden our eyes. ie. Our vision before extreme light is darkness; so as God’s presence in essence is unapproachable. And the pillar of the light stood between the camp of theEgyptians and the camp of the Israel; and it was cloud and darkness to the Egyptians and shade by the day and light by night to Israel. There is no other GOD in the Bible expect YHWH/JEHOVH who was the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. JESUS went to the temple where all the jews went on every saturday to worship their GOD YHWH

Then, why the old tent as earthly copy was made as a copy of heavenly original ? If there was darkness and one who lived therein was God of this dark world, then heavenly original is also dark and one who lives therein is the same God, not father of Jesus.

There is only one God, and He is the only God of all the people belonging to various religions. But the concepts about the nature of God vary from religion to religion. The Jews’ concept about God was very very poor. They created a God based on their poor knowledge about the nature of God. Then the Holy Spirit made them write it down. For what purpose? To show the future generations how poor was the understanding of God in the ancient times, and so, the extreme requirement of a Saviour to save the mankind from such a poor situation. This is the most important relevance of the Old Testament. So, not even a dot should be removed from it. If changes are made in the O.T., we will not be able to logically explain the necessity of a Saviour.
