NIce job Wes. I have tried my hand a few times to make dovetails by hand. They weren't pretty at all. I bought and used a Leigh jig for about 3 months then had to put my wood shop in storage. That was the last time I used it. Great vid keep them coming. Stay safe my friend.
If I’m making cabinets I will use my router and jig to cut them, but for furniture and heirloom type builds I love the look of hand cut dovetails. Any plans to get that woodshop out of storage?
@@shaweehillsworkshop4226 I could not stand for those JET tools going to rust. So after 14 months, I called a contractor buddy and told him to bring a trailer and come get everything. I only keeped a few hand tools. Life moves on...
Hey, glad you came and checked it out! Me too, I get engrossed in the projects that I’m going to use. I just finished editing the second video in this series. It goes live tomorrow!
Very inspiring! Mr. Chickadee would say “that’s not overkill, it’s expected.” Matthias Wandel would say, “Why did you go through all of that trouble when you could’ve just used a pantorouter, eh?” Wranglerstar would say, “Are you sure you’re not a west coast guy?”
This guy has a neat way to flip a large plank that he cut. Forward to about 15min.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uyMwtpok9FY.html He also has a trailer for his logs similar to yours...
