Paul is the most sensible and stable person of all the people around him at the moment. Over the last few episodes, he's shown a lovely and really sweet and thoughtful personality, and it's sad that he's leaving us. I'm not sure whether the actor Peter Ash wanted to leave the show, but he's saved his best acting for last. All very well for Paul's mother to burst into tears but I'm sure lots of viewers, like me, were thinking "Well, you should have thought of that beforehand". I'll probably get hate mail for this, but personally I think Paul will be better off without her being so pushy, constantly interfering and causing trouble? Cheers

Yes, I did read somewhere that he didn't want to leave, but wasn't sure if that was true ... because I couldn't believe the producers would get rid of a character I thought was popular? I'm really angry with them for doing this as Paul is one of my favourite people and I can't see that I will be interested in still watching after he is gone! It's impressive how beautifully he is acting as it wouldn't be easy to play this taxing role with the knowledge the producers were dumping you from the show ... but I guess he is demonstrating his integrity.
