Hi, I have a question...did you shorten your A-frame??? I'm thinking of taking the western plow of my old pickup and mount it like you did to a skid steer plate... my concern is the weight being out so far.... LA525 FEL should lift it with full A frame, right???.... great vid...super interested
Hello my tractor is 70hp, 10,000# monster. I run a 9' Snow Dog brand skidsteer quick attach plow and with wings it is 11'. I run chains on the rears and have chains for the fronts, but I have never used them. My tractor is 4x4 but I rarely use it either, as it is in two wheel it will push through miles of drifts 2'-3' deep without breaking a sweat. I had a neighbor that got drifted in on a 3 mile drive(my road is two miles) He called his usual guy and he broke his plow truck trying to get through in the first 100 yards. He called me and asked if I could give it a go as I have a 90hp skidsteer and a larger tractor. I opted for the tractor as the distance was so great. I dropped my plow at the mail box and did not stop for all 3 miles. I did the drive one pass in and one pass out. He followed me out in his truck and said it was crazy how much snow I could roll in front of the machine without a struggle. Thanks for the videos!!!

I'm new to the tractor world. i have lots of time on other machines. i get a ton of snow on my new land. all my closest neighbors use 40-60hp tractors with pto blowers. i plan to rig/make a plow set up just like this for a tractor im about to buy. i was wondering what the black plate that attached quickly to your loader arms is called? also how is the plow attached to that quick release plate? thank you
Hi Jack, thanks for watching and sharing your questions….. The plate that you attach to the plow for easy on-off is a quick attach plate or you will find them referenced as a skid steer quick attach plate. The hook up mechanism is the same as skid steers. We live on the corner of a major and side road. I have a couple elderly neighbors who have to go to the dr. I make sure the road and their drive is clear. The rest of my neighbors park roadside and just benefit from the city not plowing them in. I blow the street with the kubota before I start my route. Of course I think I am playing. The rest of the time , it’s repeat customers helping make those tractor payments.
Unfortunately it’s been about ten years since I bought that coupler…yes it’s after market. Back then they didn’t all come standard like they do now. If you do an internet search for quick attach adaptors you’ll find several companies that make them. Give them a call and tell them your tractor model and they should be able to help. Good luck.
