I don’t know where these places are but I love going anywhere and everywhere with Lee. Love the friendly atmosphere in every step of the way and the warm receptions and a little cameo from Lyle. Appreciate you Lee for doing the steps and taking us on your all access adventures. A huge thank you. ‘Enjoy every sandwich’.👍☮️
@@anthonywhite2960 Really enjoyed Lees walkthrough videos l find them interesting as we no longer have anything like this in Australia. They are always excellent adventures with Lee.
Hey that drummer w the steel kit there was awesome. It actually was the first thing I noticed when Lee panned in. (I’m obviously a big Bonzo guy) Never derailed from the groove not once! (I’m cursed w a bassists ear so immediately I recognize the excellent timekeeping.) Fun tune. Good band Tiny Moose! Loved it!
6:03 WOW ! 1977 stainless steel Ludwig drum set ! I owned a new set of '77 stainless steel Ludwigs that I used playing drums for singer Bobbie Gentry in her production shows back in 1977, at the Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas.
@@randyschiffer3265 "The last time Gentry appeared in public was when she attended the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 30, 1982. Since that time, she has not recorded, performed or been interviewed. One 2016 news report stated that Gentry lived in a gated community near Memphis, Tennessee."
@@randyschiffer3265 I haven't seen Bobbie since 1978 when I played in her production shows, at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. Jim Stafford performed with Bobbie there, too. Bobbie will be celebrating her 82nd birthday on July 27, 2024. How time flies. When I worked for her, she was 35. It seems like yesterday that we played those shows! To reminisce, I listen to tapes I made at rehearsals in Hollywood and the live shows in Vegas. Bobbie Gentry was a marvelous person to know. Her talent and ability to produce and star in her production shows was incomparable.
Tiny Moose!🫎 🎸 👏 👏 👏 😃 Hiya Leeeeeee!!! 🥰😂❤ So nice to see Lyle! What a perfect evening for a gig. Love these outdoor venues!! Have a great show tonight!! Love ya bunches! 🎸🎶🎤🎵🥰❤️
Something for everyone on your amazing walkabout videos Mr Sklar ... and that's just the food buffet ! It's extra special to see thoroughly decent folks enjoying themselves ,chilling out and genuinely happy to meet and greet a musical legend in the flesh who encourages accessibility wherever he goes ...lovely to witness .Ta much ....
Leland Sklar .. You are so darling. Trader Joe's has great frozen corn....tastes great cold... thanks for the brilliant tours... California loves you and misses you.... BE Safe....
Ozarks Amphitheater, recently named the “Best Live Music Venue in Missouri”, is located in the heart of the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. The amphitheater has recently hosted such well-known headline acts as Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam, Dierks Bentley, and Cody Johnson, with more great coming attractions. A concert under the stars at Ozarks Amphitheater is a great addition to a long summer weekend at the lake.
I always joke with security at my son’s gigs when they ask for my pass. I say,”I paid for all of the music lessons.” They laugh and say “right this way mom!”
Nice walk-around yrs ago I saw lyle. In the Dallas version of that venue dos equies is the name now..for a huge stage and venue the sound of the large band was fantastic. lyle is such a professional...nice viedo
Thank you Leland for these walking tours of venues. It would seem the long exposures Lyle Lovett is doing may have more to do with digital sensors being totally emptied before an exposure, (sensor can collect those photons for up to 30 minutes before the sensor reads out to memory’) would like to hear what Lyle might say. Loved the sign ‘Hippies Use the Back Door’ ☮
@@hanspeterlillese2225 It has to do with the sensors in digital cameras and they need to be rid of all the stored light (photons) in them to record all the detail that is possible. It is a new world in digital photography.
@@hanspeterlillese2225 The sensor has to be depleted of previously stored photons to obtain the most exact photographic reproduction possible. I worked previously with film and the exact exposure was needed to obtain what the film was cable of doing, while over and under exposure would reproduce an image it would not be optimum. Lyle Lovett seems to be after the most detailed image possible.
Great tour thanks. Fun little band, really nice s sound. “ Sorry my hand is sticky”, “ That’s ok, I know where it’s been”, now that’s good writing 😎 Have fun🖕
Ozarks Amphitheater is by far my favorite outdoor venue to see a concert and what a pleasure it was seeing you play with Lyle Lovett! Your love of the bass and live performances really shines through.
@@randyschiffer3265 California has at the moment 3311 wildfires and the newest one near Santa Barbara is zero percent contained and burning over 16,264 acres. Climate Change has no favorites. ⚠
Lost another one. Rusty Golden, son of Oak Ridge Boys' William Golden, dead at 65. Rusty's dad and Leland get mistaken for each other for their long hair and beards.
I love how oblivious all these “fans” are.😂 Most of them have no idea who they are interacting with as he walks by. I’m glad I didn’t run into Leland when he was in Missoula because I would have embarrassed myself being a fanboy.🤪
I have taken catered meals in the USA, Japan, France, Germany and England. 😋 In my opinion, the USA is the best. (From the point of view of quality alone, though, it's France......😁)
The camera guy should yell instead "If you're here you're an A-hole" Love the band, couldn't find a website or CD of them. Lyle seems like a real cool guy. I guess you'd prefer security to knock you down, handcuff you and take you for a strip search looking for the hidden guitar pick. And when they can't find it, you tell them that you are the bass player and don't use a guitar pick. LOL!! They end up flipping the bird, taking a picture with you for your second book, releasing you, whereby you're now walking a bit funny.
Curious if Russ ever met the intern. Russ seems to be the opposite of you. I wonder if at this point in your careers if you guys are a package deal when you decide which artist to tour with? Like, do you guys share the same agent? And always curious what happened with JT and why that relationship ended, and if there was any bad blood between JT and Russ over Russ almost marrying Carly.
