Hi there! The dev has mentioned he will port to consoles after the game is fully released and I found a few articles saying that the early access is expected to last for about a year
What an amazing list!!!! I’ve played quite a few and can’t wait to try more (I play on the Switch) Time stamps would be really helpful in your videos as well (just an idea) 😉 I can’t wait for more review videos and just more posts in general from you! Love your content! 🥰
You have no idea how happy that makes me to hear that. That’s so sweet, thank you so so much!! It’s great meeting people that love the same games as I do 😊 And no prob! I’ll add some time stamps in the next few days. Thanks!!
Good list! I love Dinkum and Wylde flowers (but I got bored). Ooblets and Garden Paws: not totally convinced at first (even if it's very cute), but maybe I should try again ! Still hesitating to try Harvestella, never played that kind of game. I should also maybe try Staxel ;)
Thanks!! Harvestella had a big story element so depends if you like that sort of thing? Staxel is a great one to play, although I think if you got bored of Wylde flowers and dinkum easily you’d get bored of staxel, it’s more doing your own thing rather than a story or a goal to aim for. I definitely recommend Ooblets 😊
I was hesitating a lot with Harvestella and just bought it. I love it so far, feels like I'm in a isekai anime. Very immersive story, but no voice acting, so it's more for book lovers I guess.
@@shozzy_id there's dungeons so plenty of fights but the combat system is simple and unless you skip entire levels the risk of dying is low. There's a class system that keeps things interesting, with anything from fighter, mage to gunslinger and way more. You need to switch often to fight specific enemies.
great list!! have you tried out coral island? that's been my recent obsession. i absolutely love it and you should definitely give it a try if you haven't yet.
Thanks!! I started playing it a while ago but only played it for maybe an hour and kind of forgot about it. I need to restart and give it a proper go! I’ve just got so many games to play hahah
The Good Life and Garden Paws I found through your channel and reviews and I can’t wait to try them soon! 😊 And I’ve been waiting not so patiently for Dinkum!! Haha I know I’m gonna be so addicted!
That’s so great to hear!! I’m so excited to see how dinkum develops. It was such an amazing game when I played it when it first came out in early access. I can only imagine how good it’s going to be once it’s fully released! 😆
I did the same thing, I almost didn’t get it because I’d heard such bad things about it. I waited months until I decided to get it, but I’m glad I did 😄
I'll have to look into some of these. Out of this list, I have Littlewood, Grow: Song of the Evertree, and Graveyard Keeper. Littlewood is a bit like a smaller scale Stardew Valley with no fighting (though there are enemies that have to be avoided) and a big focus on collecting for the museum. Grow is a unique concept, and it is completely peaceful (which I like a lot), though it gets a bit grindy and repetitive after a while. Graveyard Keeper is a fun take on this genre; it manages to be cute while getting into some sketchy stuff. One of my main problems with this genre is that these are supposed to be pleasant, relaxing games, but more often than not, it seems like combat (which for me is the opposite of relaxation) has to be tacked onto these games. In some games, the fighting is a relatively minor activity (i.e. Graveyard Keeper), but in others (i.e. Stardew Valley and My Time at Portia) it really gets to be a chore. When I'm looking for a relaxing experience, I don't want to be fighting things. This is one reason why I appreciate Grow: Song of the Evertree. It is 100% peaceful. Littlewood isn't bad, though running around and avoiding moving hazards is almost as annoying as fighting them. Fortunately, at some point, an upgrade puts the enemies to sleep. I looked up Dinkum, and it looked promising, but then I saw commenters on Steam complaining about the mines. (I guess there are others like me who question why games in this genre have so much combat.) There are apparently mods that neutralize the mines, so maybe that game is a suitable option with mods installed. I'll have to look closely at the others here. Any that are 100% peaceful will be high on my list for consideration.
Am 100% with you. I'm so tiredof farming games pushing combat. I have mods installed for Dinkum to keep the animals peaceful and of course tons of mods for SDV to keep me from dying to at least fight against those. I really hope more games will come out this year that don't force combat into otherwise peaceful games.
I loved No Place like Home in early access but full release was so disappointing. There were still so many little bugs (trash that you couldn't clean up, the monsters would hit you when they shouldn't have been able to or they get stuck in a wall, lots of little things) plus the ending just is crap. There are so many great things but there are also so many bad things. I also loved Ooblets, it definitely deserves to be on this list. Most of the others are on my wishlist. You should check out My time at Portia or My Time at Sandrock, they are my absolute favorites in the genre.
It is a shame that they didn’t fix the lag or bugs in NPLH, but I still find that cleaning insanely addicting haha. I’ve been meaning to play my time at sandrock, I played it for a bit when it was first released in early access. Will definitely be checking it out again soon, thanks!! 😄
Behind The Horizon made me think of Unreal World. Graphically that is. Gameplay wise it's a full on survival simulator from the early 90's, so not really a farming game, although I believe it has farming in it. The nature simulation in that goes pretty hard.
It is confirmed coming to Switch just no date yet, but hopefully soon!! I haven’t played that game yet, have you? Do you recommend it? I’m happy to do a review if you’d like one 😊
Oh hi! I haven't played it. I'm actually on the fence about buying it, so I was curious to know if you had. It looks fun but... well I bought Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 on the Switch a while ago because I loved it on PC years before. It turned out the game was somewhat difficult to control when not using a mouse and keyboard, and had a tonne of menus to navigate with no keys for shortcuts and it became very tedious, very quickly. I'm concerned that it might be the same case with Let's Build a Zoo and I'll spend money (which I don't have much of for gaming 😔) on it and then regret it. It's not your responsibility, haha. I just thought maybe you had already played it.
Dinkum will eventually come to consoles (switch included). It will remain as PC exclusive while it’s in early access state. It is a pretty good game and I’m looking forward to see what more gets added as time goes on.
Correct me if i'm wrong But I presume Slime Rancher 1 and 2 are not on the list because they're more widely known. Also Thank you for the reccomendations. Will be checking out at least 3 of the titles.
hi these games are great but i was wondering if you would know of a game that i could run on my low end device and relaxing game like stardew valley but a little easier
Hmm, I think worlds dawn would run on pretty much anything although it’s far from being as detailed as Stardew, but it has many similar concepts. I’m also playing sun haven at the moment, and it is GOOD! Very similar to Stardew except more of a fantasy take on it. I think that one would be fine on lower end devices but I’m not too sure. If those two don’t sound good let me know and I’ll think of some others 😄
Anyone who likes Harvestella should try Sakuna: Of Rice And Ruin if you haven't yet. Anyone who likes Epic Chef should take a look at Battle Chef Brigade - not much farming but otherwise similar, and I particularly enjoyed the 2D anime graphics.
Personally I’d go RF5, it has more farming, you can buy furniture for your house, more of an open world, and you can build relationships with all NPCs and get married. Harvestella is great as well but far more linear and you can only build relationships with a handful of the main NPCs and only through quests. Both are great though 😊 maybe you could get both if they go on special?
