Lovely ideas and fun presentation. "Vegan leather" always makes me wince though. It's a very cunning marketer's way if saying "evil plastic that will never biodegrade".
some of the good vegan leathers are made of natural fibres, like mushrooms, apparently, and are therefore biodegratable… but for most parts, absolutely, it’s plastic… 😂

I love the trench with white sneakers, a slimmer straight cut Jean. A crisp white shirt. Classic leather belt, watch, and some jewelry. Such an iconic ✨️ 👏 look

I love all these basics except jeans (I’ve never found a well-fitting pair). I don’t like to wear black or white to weddings, so I have a comfortable navy silk dress for that, plus the color is better on me (but I also have a black silk slip dress). I prefer light colors, maybe because I live in a warm climate, too, but also because I’m a pale Summer-coloring type. I wear my no-iron white linen shirt the most, but have a couple of others I love, too. This is the best basics list I’ve seen, I love the inclusion of a casual dress, and for my wardrobe I would add a few skirts. Love your channel!
As a busty woman with broad shoulders, I don’t look good in white tees or button up shirts. I find that a v neck top with 3/4 or long sleeves is a more flattering look for me.
I love your videos, Anna 😄! Most things you are suggesting here I don't own. But that's no problem, because I prefer wearing something fancy with something sparkling.... 😉🤣
I have to watch 4 of your videos first before I subscribed. I really like how you can be funny at the same time cool. I have all of the basic clothes, blazer all of them plus shoes etc you mentioned. I tend to forget to wear them lol

I'm new to your channel, binge watched a few of your videos and this one made me subscribe! I've heard these tips from others but your delivery and personality make all the difference! I have everything on the list except the sweater (actually I have one but haven't been able to make it work yet), and the elusive basic white button down shirt (not as easy to find as you'd think). I had to LOL when you suggested "a" go-to dress; that's 75% of my wardrobe! It's from these dresses that I learned about the need for seamless underwear! 😳 Love this video!

Great ideas. I appreciate that you were very general and flexible. Like saying black but you may prefer brown. That is very helpful. We aren’t all the same and the content is solid with flexibility. Thank you. I always love the little color that can be thrown in so the caramel and rust colors were appreciated.
I agree with almost all of these. I am really into fashion, but just cannot get on the blazer train. I know most people would disagree, but they look all wrong on me. If I need to dress up, I use cropped cardigans, maxi cardigans, button downs, and jackets (moto or something similar). Also use layers, sweaters, vests, and turtlenecks instead of a jacket!
You know, I think having a dark and a light colored go-to dress that suits you is the way to go. I'm still working on figuring out what colors look best on me. I think I've got a good list, but my wardrobe needs to catch up. I love jeans, but I have to take the time to try on lots of different pairs and sizes to find the perfect fit. I think everybody can look good on jeans if you find the right fit and the right style for your body shape.

The majority of my outfits are vintage & classics including my shoes/ handbags & accessories. 🤗 I was once employed at a thrift store 😄 DREAM JOB where I also shopped for my school clothes. My peers liked my outfits & asked me to shop with them. 🛍💃👠👘👖👙👗👡👟👒 FAST FASHION SUCKS and is a BIG FAT WASTE of time ⏰ & 💰💰. CLASSIC styles you can mix & match is the TICKET 👍🎟 🎉
I have three beautiful blazers, each a different print and I get complemented every time I wear them. But, because they are prints, you really notice when I am wearing them again. So I agree with you and a good neutral color blazer is on my list. One that goes with most of my clothing.
Hi! As you suggested, I took down notes! But I live in the tropics and we’re mostly humid for the most part of the year. I’m not crazy about boots and leather jackets. But the rest, I must say are already in my closet. So 10 points for me there. I watch your videos more for ideas on how to curate my attire. I’m a working woman, with 2 grown-up kids and a husband. I would add good t-shirt bras, at least two nude and one black. I stopped wearing other styles with details like seams, lace, etc. because they always show through. I need good support, I’m about your size, but older.
I absolutely agree! I had planned to add bras because you can’t look good or put together unless you have proper foundation garments. Years & years of Stacey & Clinton of WNTW….and of course, my dear sweet Mom really drove this point home for me.
My kingdom for a bra that fits!! I’m a 36 d/dd but I don’t need a ton of support ( shhhh…the “girls” are after market). I hate bras that I have to be a contortionist to get in and out of as well. Suggestions welcome!! 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

Everything but the white t shirt and white button-up shirt. Every time I purchase these, I end up donating them eventually because I absolutely NEVER end up actually wearing them. Know thyself!! And stay true to what you will/will not use regardless of what everyone keeps telling you… great video tho!

I love your involvement with the environment and hope you will champion quality clothes and investigate fast fashion like Old Navy, H & M, and Zara. Filling the landfills with unworn garments gives me chills. I wear many comfortable shoes as a top stylist. Fly London or Earth are extremely comfortable and fashionable as are other brands and look more chic' than tennis shoes.
Fun video. I don't like white button downs, or a trench coat, but that's me so skipping them. Love a great denim jacket however, and a moto. Most of your list is spot on.
