One of the best parts of Dugeons and Dragons was in the maze scene it showed all but breifly the charaters from the 80's cartoon that was a nice touch!
There are five of my favourite movies in this list, and my all time favourite. In 1986, I saw Labyrinth in the theatre, instant favourite. Every time it plays on TV is appointment TV. Had the VHS, wore it out, had the DVD, watched it so much I scratched it. Streamed it, have it on MP4. I have literally seen it so many times, I've lost count, well over 100x. Another of my favourites is Highlander, I also loved the series too. I did own the DVD too, but it was lost. That version of Peter Pan is the best version, compared to the rest. And I absolutely adore the The Black Caldron movie, it is a fantasy masterpiece. And Matilda, what's not to love? I also like The Last Unicorn, What Dreams May Come & It's A Wonderful Life too. The Baron Von Munchausen is really fun too. And that new D&D movie is becoming a fast favourite. Some I've never heard of, life The City of Lost Children. But this looks like a fun list of movies.
I clicked on this video purely because you had City of Lost Children in the thumbnail. I cannot believe someone else out there even knows about that movie other than me. I first saw that movie on the shelf at Blockbuster in the late 90s. I rented it and fell in love with it immediately. I have never seen anyone who knows anything about that movie. It is such a great mind blowing movie that keeps you up at night. Such a hidden gem. Glad to see it getting some love here.
I really like 47 ronin, but I am biased as it has one of my favourite actors: Hiroyuki Sanada (criminally underrated) and loveable Keanu Reeves. I do think the female antagonists acting in this was terrible and painful to watch, though.
Here's a list of my favorite fantasy films: #1- Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer #2- Willow #3- Excalibur #4- Highlander #5- The Lord of the Rings Trilogy #6- Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl #7- The Princess Bride #8- Red Sonja #9- The Magic Sword #10- Masters of the Universe #11- Hook #12- Legend #13- The Beastmaster Btw Richard is my favorite narrator.
yeah I can relate to the lack of money for marketing the movie... our feature film (called Shanghai Story, won several film festivals) is on Prime Video and Tubi and still almost noone will see it coz we can't afford to pay for a promotion...
I'm not sure why people would compare Hook and the 2003 Peter Pan- they're not really meant to be the same? I always loved Hook, and the 2003 Peter Pan is the best live action (young) Peter Pan movie.
This channel can’t get the lore of highlander properly. The prize is a bid of immortality for whoever chops the other one’s head off first and the clan is McLeod . In order for Sarah to get her brother back she has to solve the labyrinth in 13 hours by overcoming puzzles and challenges . This channel needs better writers and can have abilities to understand and research the lore of movies and the narration is obviously done by AI you can tell.
