With photography increasing every day with popularity and photographers needing travel bags I’m sure they’ll sell pretty well and even if you don’t do fitness yourself selling health and fitness or beauty products is very easy to do so as well; all in all they hit a lucky pallet as they don’t always go like this from my understanding although I’ll definitely be giving this a try myself 😂
@@hallzyy8023 But anything opened instantly loses value and how many of those are going to get returned after they are sold for a second or third time.
@@pamengland7863found a literal trashbag full with tag protectors and everything at my local VOA thrift store today for $10 🤔 i said man i thought these were collectible and worth a ton of money 😆
I do this as a side hustle. Its not all fun and games. Sometimes you'll be stuck with invetory for months and barely make a sale. Selling big items online is tough because your gonna have to be charging for shipping while your competitors have free 2 day shipping and cheaper prices. Its tough. Your better off selling local for cash to avoid the taxes and fees.
That rolling suitcase sells for 159 on Amazon free shipping . I would have to pay probably $30-50 to ship that big ass thing depending on where it's going. I sell as a side hustle too.
@@michael2943 you should check into better shipping programs. I live in the Midwest and this would cost me roughly $16-$22 max to send to California. Try using pirateship or something like that. I know eBay gives me a pretty solid shipping discount as well
I resell pallets on marketplace. All cash, no shipping, no taxes. Amazon pallets are trash though. Very popular but it's all generic china crap. Home Depot are best.
Think about it though, that’s 2$ and hour for 24 hours a day 7 days a week. 365 a year. That’s 17472 a year in almost passive income. You package up 10 items a weekend and when they sell, slap a label on it and done.
y'all based ur profit from the retail prices and claimed ur "profit" u would make before u sold a single item. YOU did that in the video @@JAMIEANDSARAH
@@johncuervo3019Trust me. My big first buy was such a build up of excitement and when I got it....was a bunch of outdated junk, dvds don't even sell anymore and I got so many cell phone covers, plastic dollar store items, just one huge box of disappointment. The older guy probably biught it for the kid and the kid knows it's just a video 😏😆
My wife gets shit in the mail everyday and returns it...(mostly clothes) but there's typically nothing wrong with it. It's just the high from getting a package in the mail.
Same here... What are you selling them for and how much profit did you make after shipping costs.and how much time is used to go through all this stuff sell it and ship it again.
The only way these are going to sell vs the item from Amazon would be price. It is stupid to compare retail price and gloat. You'll need to cut price big time to get someone to buy. Use that price instead, then see if you still want to gloat. Great learning experience either way...good luck!
Plus, don't you have to already have a super successful and popular website to even be able to attract the traffic you'll need? And if they're selling at a flea market, they'll have to sell for cheap.
You do know that you can't sell them at retail. Walmart doesn't even sell at retail. They will only sell for what someone is willing to pay. It does show good initiative though. Good luck.
They literally say retail value, they know fine well they won’t sell it for that much. I’m absolutely amazed by the comments on this clip. People hating for nothing. Trying to earn a little side money is really admirable for a young kid.
My friend tried this, he got into his 3rd pallet and realised that it wasn't actually that profitable after all the fees and struggled to sell most of the items, Amazon have been clever with this 1 and I mean real clever your buying all the stuff they can't sell they make money and clear stock space at the same time and that space then becomes a continues space for items that actually sell, your buying Amazon's failed to sell products if Amazon can't sell it you sure as hell can't not profitable anyways
All of these guys whining that you have to sell it first and you have fees and all this - fucking come on. It’s a 17 year old of course he’s going to have to put in work. I’m sure that he knows that. It’s better than making 15 bucks at McDonald’s.
the product sux, thats the problem, itll sell slow, huge waste of time, and shipping for heavy bulky items is outrageous, wont make any cash, kid has no experience, wasting his time
@@daletaco835He’s 17. He’s learning more lessons doing this than almost anything else. He’s going to build an outstanding entrepreneurial foundation from this, and continue to learn and grow and evolve. You’re on shorts trying to say other people are wasting their time lmfao
The principal of reselling is not bad. Making a fake video to prop up Amazon return pallets and inflating prices and excitement about products that won't resell to go after other younger people who have no experience reselling is below the standard.
This reminds me of storage wars. You know where they act like they found a super rare item and they all gasp, then commercial break... lmao Good job kid! Learning early is awesome!
Nah bro lol , this business is great in the Latino community, many and I mean many buy a lot . I’m in Dallas Texas , 99% customers are Mexicans and they buy a lot
@predcatcherhawxx1345 that's what it saying idk why people forget that the liquid value of an item isn't what your going to get out of it most of time. If msrp is 450 you will mostly only make 350-200
@@UkraineIsLosing i understand what you mean, it’s a hit or miss. I’ve bought really good pallets and I’ve purchased pallets that 60% was trash/broken . It just all depends where you buy them from. Many people that sell individually attempts to get the most money which takes them forever to sell. We don’t , we do quick flips meaning if I purchased a $600 pallet, I’ll try to quick flip for double or more. And sells very fast, keeps product moving and customers happy because retail may be $180 and we sell it for $40-$60. We make money and they make money, it’s a win/win for all of us. We already have clientele and most are just resellers
@@UkraineIsLosingfacts, I sell full time on eBay and I stopped buying liquidation pallets because they were getting ridiculously overpriced and the quality was decreasing. It depends on the programs you’re buying and your sales channel but I see videos like these all the time and I’m just like it’s shT like this and the over saturation of bin and discount stores that have made liquidation even more risky when buying pallets.
Ive been buying pallets for a few years now. Depending on who you buy from, you will either pay the least for items that are not guaranteed to work, be in good/new condition etc, or pay the most for refurbished or new/unopened product. Everything gets sorted out by the distributors that collect from the retailers, and priced accordingly. So this load he bought can either be a gold mine, a loss, or somewhere in between. 90% of the time its somewhere in between.
This is a good side hustle at best. I said GOOD by the way, not great. You will have trouble selling them for full price. You almost always have to ask less to dump the shit off.
I like buying items that can be carried in 1 hand, less than a pound. The cost to ship those cases is going to be very expensive. And if they are returns you have to check each item out for actual damage. To much risk if you got to pay for this item to be returned.
And "new" or "infrequent" sellers will have their funds held(especially if over $250)for a minimum of 14 days after ebay confirms the package arrived and the buyer has no complaint. They reserve the right to hold funds even longer as the sales amount increases. But, the good news is ebay professes that they do NOT make interest off of your held funds...gotta have something positive, I guess...lol
1. Buy the return pallet. 2 Sell the items on Facebook and eBay for a profit. We usually can count on half of retail value so this particular pallet would prob sell for $2500-$3k. Minus $450 for cost of goods and that’s a pretty good profit! 🤑
This will probably be his 1st and last, once he realises most of it is damaged / returns, and after he pays the costs and fees to list and send stuff. Also if its 150 in the shop, it's worth less when he sells it.
Yeah and my old pair of sneakers are worth $9,000 if I Google it LOL be lucky to get 20. This is adorable. That stuff will be in his garage for 7 years
When there are lots of the same item returned, it’s generally because the buyers have all found a similar problem with the item. Often if its a mixed amount of stuff it can be because they didn’t like this didn’t like that, however if it’s lots of the same item generally it’s not because they dislike it, but that it’s properly defective.
You have to sell them first! 😂 and if you don’t have competitive pricing, they will never sell! If this is the mindset after the first pellet purchase, it will probably be your last too!
One time I got some returns and there was boxes and boxes 📦, of gold ✨️, 24k gold, sold it to the pawn stars , Rick was like " dad , come look at this " and pops said " holy shit son , you got 100 million here easy " .
You really ain’t taking away enough. This is why Amazon loves selling this sht that don’t sell n gets returned because everyone looks at a magic number n don’t consider any of the real costs n time to sell ,the time being more valuable.
With stuff like that you can almost guarantee it sells for 25 percent of retail. So all that work and cost of the skid. Not sure what he paid but $5000 retail soon turns into $1250 when you have sat on the product for 6 months. Could end up making a few hundred bucks that works out to $3 dollars an hour. Now not saying you can't make money but you are not making $4000 dollars a skid. I guess it just comes down to what your hourly rate you make at a career job.
A lot of people hating out of jealousy, Neweer is a great brand with excellent sell through. Make huge profit on the camera bags and sell the rest locally for $50-100 here and there.
