Your expertise and knowledge in hair and makeup is a highlight of your reviews for me, the little spice that adds something extra. Calling you and your critiques of TP's movies, which have been shared by many Black folks for over 20 yrs., racist/anti-Black is goofy. I'm Black and have made peace with the fact that I find the reviews/memes/reads more memorable, more entertaining, and better written than Tyler Perry's movies.😂 Nevermind the nonsensical bait in your mentions. When people--for whatever reason--can't engage with the content of a discussion (or for those who can't handle discussion, "debate" and at worst "fight") they engage in attacking the person. You're both very humorous but amazingly well-spoken and inspire incredible, in-depth discussions. That's a big part of the reason why I enjoy your guys' movie review content over other channels--by far. Even this! Your podcasts! I don't listen to anyone else's podcasts, not really into that. Edit: Also, yeah, that flight attendant did an amazing job resolving the problem. Gold star.

i want to commend you for not cosigning the BS that TP is putting out. And for that matter ALL the other cash grab crap films and filmmakers you review in an intelligent, hilarious and honest presentation. those nonsensical critical folks will eventually catch up to you both and the rest of us in identifying the junk. or maybe they won't and they can stay in that dust cloud.

Heathers was one of my all time favorite films growing up. I think I watched it over ten times while still in high school. I think you have to take it in as a purely dark comic satire without questioning anything to fully be charmed by the movie.

I agree about "Heathers." It also has that late-80s, early-90s direct-to-video looking cinematography that I dislike. I prefer "Massacre at Central High."

I’ve been an oversized person on a plane quite a few times and I’ve always flown on southwest. In order to purchase your second seat most of the time you have to call in to customer service but if they have an overbooking the airline will force refund your extra seat and you won’t be allowed to use an extra seat and will deplane you. I’ve had that happen multiple times I’ve though I bought my seat months in advance. 😅 I’m sorry you had to deal with that. I’ve had people get verbally aggressive and mildly abusive on southwest when I did have my extra seat and telling me I can’t buy an extra seat and they have the right to sit next to me and the flight attendants will refuse to get involved.

Heathers is classic to me. Saw it a little younger than the intended demographic but I thought it was funny. It probably inspired my love of dark humor.

Yeah, I also hate when people say I look like someone, because it's never someone attractive. I've gotten three so far, and my response to all three was, "Oh, hell no!". My three comparisons were: Jared from the Subway commercials, Neal Cavuto from Fox News ( I had to look him up, because eww, Fox News), and Stephen King. Yeah, people can be rude! 😂

Joe don't feel bad! It was a mistake! Also, im black and i don't like Tyler Perry movies either. I like the first Why Did I get Married? But my issue with him is he has the power to take the game over! Maybe Steven Spielberg level for the black community. But he won't committ to making better movies. Honestly, can anybody say we'll be quoting or watching Tyler Perry movies 30 years from now? We still can quote any Spike Lee, John Singleton, even Antokne Fuqua movie! Are we going to still be talking about his movies years to come? Nope! He has this potential to create legendary black cinema. I can name Posse, Im Gonna Git You Sucka, Training Day, Five Heartbeats, Mo' Better Blues! Please be honest black folks...will we be holding reverence to Tyler Perry films lile the ones i mentioned above? That's my problem with his movies.
