Clamps are personal preference. Some like them, some don’t. I use the screw clamps in cars. Don’t know how they work in trucks. Key is get them tight without over tightening them.

Saludos I'm glad they didn't have all them regulations when I used to pull flatbed. We didn't have to wear helmets best special boots special anything. To store to get the hell out of the way. The tube was manufactured using a laser instead of a welded seam(MIG/TIG (one in the same)). The issue is that laser seams/cut edges will rust a lot faster the moment they're exposed to water as the laser oxidizes the metal in the process much faster. 20 years + Laser operator here. Amazed you tarped it that well most here Australia will "pretend to tarp it" now they all have to take photos of the deliveries!

“Tube lasered” is a method used to cut the pipe. That’s probably used in the paperwork so that the receiver knows they received tubing cut via laser, like they specified when they ordered the pipe. The mechanic used a stainless steel hose clamp. They come in multiple configurations. Google the term, then select Images and you’ll see the varieties.

Spring clamps versus worm clamps. Either or has been my experience. Both have good sides and bad.

You should replace those clams because they aren’t good for the coolant hoses because they will make a hole in the hose with all the vibration on the road. Had happened to me

Those clamps will be fine they are usually a factory replacement for them old ones you have that came with truck when it was new!
