I really cannot warm up to this technique but I LOVE watch and listening to you as you create. I’d watch you doing about anything I feel sure. Your thoughts and how you voice your actions is HUGE and I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks this!!
Beautiful as always Julie! Thinking colours, I find adding black will muddy a light colour, such as your pink/magenta. If you want to deepen pink, add a drop of dark red, baby blue, add a drop of dark blue etc. This will give you a deeper colour without getting a 'muddy' look. Hugs from NZ.
They are beautiful with the glitter in the middle but I really like the gold in the middle. Beautiful either way , really. I will never get tired watching you make all these & your colorful variations are stunning. ❤
Wow, wow, wow, I think it's beautiful! I can't decide if I like the glitter or the gold center. They're both wonderful. These colors are gorgeous! I love the gold shining through the pink. And the edges with the white and pink are beautiful. Lovely, sweetie. xoxoxoxoxoxoox Yes, navy blue and silver!
That is beautiful Julie! I love it when both sides are beautiful... I'm never ready for the videos to be over ❤️🥰 super excited that you have videos every day!!! Thank you!
Despite what anybody says, i'd love your attitude when you're doing this. And I love that it's a surprise to you as well as it is to us Keep up the good work julie
Magical colors on this beautiful laramar bloom. I love the soft pink and gold center. If you add the center, it will look like a flower. The lacing is perfect in this bloom. I love your enthusiasm and skills in your projects. Navy blue and silver is a great idea...❤🎉🎉
Love the gold centre, the pink is beautiful and delicate- a gorgeous combination ! I would leave the glitter out of the centre as the gold gives off a beautiful shimmer. Beautiful work Julie 🤩
Never sick of the Larimars.😊 I find I’m always saying beautiful,or stunning but I’m sticking with it! ❤ I like the centre both ways, but probably favour the sparkley after you put it on. Looking forward to seeing blue and silver. Blue and gold might give a nice green effect as well. Thanks Julie. Looking forward to receiving the turtle mould. My daughter wants one with a cowrie shell in it.
I personally really appreciate all your videos. Your content is interesting and you put a lot of time and money into your hobby. I love all your videos.❤❤
HOW INTERESTING!!! I would have bet anything that the gold took over everything. It really worked out nicely! I also like the occasional dark splotch in the acrylic inks. Try one with the gold as the light and an emerald green metallic for the dark!!!!
I love your confident nature. If it works… great. If not … try something else. I always say you can’t do it wrong when you are making it up as you go along. Thanks for the positivity.
I love everything you make. I really do and I love you and your personality and your dogs and your stories. I love everything about you. That being said 36 out of the last 49 videos have all been the larimar effect. So it is essentially like watching the same video over and over again....BUT I love you so much and because you make me smile and because you tend to brighten my days up even when I am having the worst day ever. I will still watch every single video because to me its like hanging out with my friend...p.s I would love it if you could do a live video and give us a chance to hang out with you. I know it would be hard because resin takes so long to cure but even if you just did a q &A video OR OMG what if you did a cooking or baking video. You are always talking about the things you make for dinner. I know that there are others out there that would love to watch you make something and maybe even cook along beside you.
Hey Julie! How fun was this to switch it up...love the pink and gold!! The gold just pops and the center is beautiful. Can't wait to see more...the possibilities are endless! Big ((Hugs)) from Texas!🤗
I like the shimmering of the gold like gold puffs like gold soft clouds gently rolling. I would not add the glitter on this one. But your glitter bobbles are great. Oh how I would love to play in your shop for a day or 2 and with the pups. How are they? They are such cuties. Awe melted me watching them suckle. I say another great project dear lady.
I like the pink gold glitter in it and that was a great idea to just make the centers. The navy blue and silver I’d LOVE to see since I love those colors.
The comments seem to suggest that people are enjoying these without the centers and I couldnt agree more. I like to see the organic way the middle develops. Glitter has so many places it enhances but this seems to do better without the glitter center. Thanks for sharing.
I haven't even watched yet, but I know that it will be AMAZING, Julie! 😁🤩🤗 Edited to add- oh, it's AWESOME!Sometimes I don't like glitter in the middle, but for this one I think it would really add a bit extra. And that glitter is just great! (The gold edge is pretty, too) I'm excited to try this with black, white, and silver on a set of geode coasters, with added crystals for bling. 💎 TYFS! ✌🤟
So beautiful! I would love to see you try to make the lacing with the gold. I could never get sick of your experiments. I react badly to resin so I live vicariously through your pours.
As soon as you put the gold in, it took my breath away! Could you do this in a normal coaster mold?? I will never get tired of watching you do the Larimar effect! This one is SO beautiful! 🌸
That is beautiful! I really love the gold in the center! I was wondering if some kind of metallic could be used, so it's really cool that you did that. I think navy and silver sounds great! I love those two colors together!
Julie, that's *gorgeous"! I would say NO to a center. That gold is so purty! 💕😊. @ksister42 wondered if you could use the gold IN PLACE OF the white? I guess it would have to be much thicker/heavier? Would LOVE to see blue and silver combo!
So pretty! 😍 I love the gold shimmer that peeks out throughout. I can't remember, have you ever added the gold pen on just the bottom edge? I think a tiny bit of gold mica powder here and there on the geode before you pour might look pretty. I love all of your videos. They are so fun and informative. Looking forward to the blue and silver!
You could do either both are lovely but I thought maybe you could put the glitter in the centre and using the next mould size up, you centre it in the middle pour clear resin in and see if it gives you a bigger 3D effect. I think that would work great as it would make the glitter look a part of it and it would all be level. Just a thought. Really love watching you. ❤
I really liked these colors Now I can't talk about the colors without thinking back to you doing blooms. White was heavier. You also did a lot of experimenting with mica and alcohol inks. How certain colors and types of ink reacted to each other. I think the same thing here. For sure, not the octopus inks, you've seen your results from that. I'm here on this journey with you. Love watching your brain talking about doing it in different ways. ❤🎉 Edit: was silver heavier then white? No idea just thought I'd ask.
It's Flowing Art with Amy. I posted my video yesterday. Going to try it again with another color. Thanks again. I think I am so pickled that your saying my name haha.
I like the two colors together, and would love to see silver and blue 💕 Are the metal pastes heaver than the other colors, like with the powder/ mica colors?
The golden shimmer is really beautiful. The glitter is beautiful as well but, I think it would cover up too much of that gorgeous gold. A dark red and copper would be great together. I wonder if the cell length is related to how fast the resin is curing. On a colder day it would have more time to move.. giving it time to create the smaller cells. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to eliminate those pesky micro bubbles that want to cling to the face of the mold. Maybe after pouring the white, gently scrape the bottom with a soft silicone spatula, that may dislodge them? I have a couple with a beveled edge that I use for stirring resin. The end is thin and bends easily so, I don’t think it would harm the mold. All the lovely colors you’ve made would look so pretty randomly placed in a flower garden. I would love to see them all laid out in one of your upcoming videos. They’re all really wonderful Julie.❤
I am kind of glad it set up I like this one without the glitter. The gold metallic look so pretty in the middle like that. Now I think doing the centre like that and a top, coat it may even give it a more symmetrical look and the glitter would be completely centered
I think it's beautiful ❤ the way it is but I also love the bling so I'm way indecisive too.😂 Personally I just like to see all the different things you do. 😊
Hey Julie! I was just scrolling RU-vid one day and just happened across your channel. This was a few days after having a knee surgery and I am now OBSESSED with all the fun things you create and thinking I may be able to do some really fun stuff too! Right now I am stuck sitting on my couch and can’t walk or drive or anything for another 5 weeks though! I am so glad I found your channel and have been binging all your videos!!! Do you have any suggestions on a pouring resin and colors for newbies? And also a project that I could start with that’s not too hard? Hopefully not something terribly expensive as I have recently lost my job. Your videos are so fun and I just love all the real life you include about your dogs and the puppies and birds you feed! The artwork is also just beautiful!!! Thank you for being a bright spot in my day during this honestly boring and painful time!! Anyways, I hope you have an amazing day!!!
I wanna see you put a very very very teeny tiny fine glitter into the white or some kind of shimmer powder/white chrome into the white! That will make your Laramar effect stand out from everyone elses! And i think it would look freakin amazing with glittery/shimmery white cells!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try spicing up the white and make it sparkle!!! Im dying to see that!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The gold center kind of makes me think of a paw print with the lines that go through it. I like it without the added piece in the middle. The lacing looks nice in this piece, but I look forward to what you try next! It is a bit light.
GREAT job, as always...as for the center, maybe if it were smaller so it didn't hide so much or the gold shine/sparkle? Just throwing it out there. Still finding a great tutorial of yours for my brand new chunky live edge coasters I purchased off eBay from you! CAN'T WAIT! P.S. Can you only do white, dark and light colors or can you use like white, dark, light then dark? Not sure if you can more than 3 pours into a larimar effect.
