While looking for high-security locks, and you made me wonder if anything is pick-proof! You're a fantastic locksmith, and a great videographer as well! Thanks for the awesome video, which explains the details so clearly.

Well explained video on these spools Mr gorilla😎👍 I learnt to pick these when I first started and found they are really easy to pick. Would be great to see assa abloy make stainless serrated drivers to match these spools with a different feel when picking. I have a video where i picked the same Lockwood padlock 3 times in a row, in about 2 mins 🤣

You're great my friend!i love the way you inspect any single aspect of locks and pins!reasons, cause and effect!im struggling with this pin recently i hope this video will help me to end my assa nightmare!thanks...by the way how can i apply these rule's on an assa twin combi?i mean..i need heavy tension to overcome the sidebar spring tension in order to bind the pins and if i release that tension i loose every pin picked so far,any suggestions?

It’s weird. Your subscriber count keeps changing depending on which video I look at. I was caught surprised that you suddenly had 300K+ subs. I mean, good, but that’s a big jump lol

There's nothing special about the key pins, though, is there?

Nope. Standard Assa / Lockwood

I'm sorry but this video is just a lot of hot air. The ASSA barrel pins are completely out of place in a Lockwood. In a smooth standard chamber they pick even easier than conventional spools. They only really have an effect if they are put into an ASSA core with the matching countermilling. In that configuration they are supposed to get hung up in the countermilling and give a really annoying, crunchy feedback. But just randomly putting them in a Lockwood cylinder is, sorry, nonsense. Lockwood is only owned by the Assa Abloy company, they're not technically related to ASSA itself. This is only supposed to be constructive criticism, please don't take it as an offense. Generally your channel is very nice and helpful, but I don't agree at all with this specific video.

Hi Kotzikacki and thanks for the comment. Unfortunately you are getting Assa barrel spools (as used in Rukos and higher end Assas with - as you say - countermilling to catch the lip) with these new spools being used in new Lockwood locks. Two totally different things.

@@MichaelMaynard ah alright, thanks for informing me then. I was not aware that Lockwood had some new pins as well. Ignore my comment then :)
