I found the 17inch nugget finder my go to coil as it’s quiet and covering more ground and as for general and high yield I found that anything over 2 grams there was 50 mm difference in depth great coil well done Rowan and great review nenad . As for using normal on the zed if you can use it fantastic but most of the ground I’m finding I have to use general difficult with a bit higher sensitivity 12-14 . And steel phase around 3 o’clock
I’m also using the 5000 in normal mode with nugget finder 25 inch DD for larger gold 1 ounce plus bits although it’s great on 4 grammars too . Only down side is need room to swing .otherwise zed with 17 inch is easier to use
@@diggingwithphasetech It's hard to part with an older GPX model, there will never be another detector like it, that I'm sure of, especially with the large range of coils. I won't ever part with mine.
On specimen, reefy, porous type gold, the 7000 leaves the 4500 in the dust. But for solid nuggets, it would depend on the skill of the operator on each machine. 4500 with a 12" still feels better in my hand compared to the GPZ and 12" Nugget Finder coil, but yes that's with the 4500 battery in the harness. 7000 is nice having the wireless module and not being tethered to the machine (apart from bungy cord).
