Honestly, I think its quiet the Opposide. I do not look into the fandom, but I assumed the Unicorn would be the more popular one of the two Parter. Because, besides the fakeout whit Calculus, there was no Antagonist, and besides one Scene in the Submarine, no treath. Its surprising how well paced, and entertaining this Book is, despite all that, but I speculate, not every soul feels that way. The Movie, I might judged it to harshly, but I feel it made a few missteps. Haddock remembering the Past of someone else, and even reconizing Sacharine is silly, the fact Sacharine, and Nestor care about this Past is as well, and im not a fan of the Opening Sequence. Tintin just bougt it because it was pretty, its weird, why did he know so much about Ships? Its a funny Scene, but his fascination sounds a bit unnatural. The Audience knows the Ship is important, but it feels like Tintin knows that to, because Plot. I miss the suddle mondayan feeling.
